Sunday I got a message from my mom in the middle of the night. "I need you to call me, it's an emergency."
Anytime you hear something like that you know it's not going to be good, and I was shocked by the news. My 29 year old brother-in-law committed suicide. He left behind my sister, and their two kids (an 11 year old, and a 7 year old).
There's really no specific point to this thread other me feeling I like I needed to share. It's been a bizarre and surreal week for me.
When something like this happens, it makes all your own problems feel small in comparison. You realize how pathetic it is to be afraid of picking up on a women, or worrying what other people might think of you ect.
It may seem shallow to put all this into the context of game, but game isn't just about picking up girls; it's about life, and being a better man. A tragic event really puts things into perspective.

Holy shit man! I didn't think know you knew who John was.
I went to school with him and hung out with him a lil a while back.
Sorry to hear that man. Damn, that's crazy.
Funeral was today right? R.I.P.

Shit man, this is terrible news.
Take the time to mourn, you'll be all the better for it, but also know that for the sake of those left behind you have to step up and soldier on.
Stay strong, brother. We're here for you if you need us.

Re: A Life Changing Event
death sucks
suicide sucks maybe most of all...
leave so many with the question of why
the only comforting thought is to remember that they were CLEARLY not in a correct state of mind
all we can do from horrible shit like this, is to learn from it, remember how fast shit can change, recognize what is REALLY important, and make the most out of the time we have with those that we care about.

Thoughts to your family man. Hope they're okay, and so are you. Mental illness is a difficult and serious thing, and creating an awesome lifestyle helps me get by.
