Isolation Chamber or Floating.

Post by Lego »

Saw Joe Rogan talk about this on his podcast on Youtube. Seems like something that I'd really get a lot out of and would be a really cool experience.

Has anyone else floated before? If so what are your thoughts.

Never done it either, but it sounds amazing. Do it if you have the means.

I went to one a couple weeks ago. It was an hour long session for about $70.

It was a very neat experience and I would like to do it again. I'm thinking about taking a buddy next time he's in town.

The spa I went to had different options , you could have light inside the tank or music , both if you want.

I chose complete darkness. At first you notice the water but then your body adjusts and soon you hardly notice it at all.

The only time I felt anything aside from a small sense of the water was when floating I would bump into the side of the tank. Other then that , I couldn't hear , see , smell anything.

It took a little bit to adjust but it didn't feel like an hour to me , more like 15 minutes.

I felt very relaxed and refreshed when I go out.

I saw Joe Rogan mention it's like peeling layers off an onion , you more you peel the deeper you get.
I had that sense that if I did it more often I would get to a deeper level of relaxation.

One thing to be careful of , if you do go DO NOT get the water in your eyes. There are over 2000 cups of salt in the water.I accidently and it fucking burned.

Overall , great experience, I would recommend even if it is just for one time.
