2013 was a pretty good year for me. I met my current girlfriend and I am still with her. Business has been good and my social circle is ever expanding and bringing me new opportunities. But, I also let some things go. My health and fitness took a nose dive, something that has been bothering me a lot lately. My girlfriend calls it the "relationship gut." I figure if my weight problem has a nickname, it is high time to fix it.
So for 2014, here are my main goals:
1.) Get back in shape. Loose 20lbs of fat by May. I am already pretty disciplined with weight training but I do virtually no cardio. That changed this week. I walk 2-3 miles a day but I find this doesn't really burn calories like HIIT cardio.
2.) Eat better. Make at least 66% of my meals at home. Increase my veggie intake. Start this right now! I am a huge foodie so eating out is my life. Plus, Philly is like the best food city in the world with literally dozens of amazing restaurants within walking distance of my house. It has gotten out of hand.
3.) Rebuild my clothing style. It's interesting how as you gain weight, your style gets worse and worse. As I lose weight, I will start investing my in my style again.
4.) Begin the transition from boutique style business to medium sized business. Increase bookings by 33% this year. The last year or two I have been a bit complacent with my business. I realized recently that this is because my social circle is dominated with boutique style business owners. Often, I'm the most successful person in the room. This has made everything boring, stagnant. I'm not being pushed. I was at a business seminar recently and the speaker said "You are the average of the ten people you spend the most time with. If you want to be a millionaire, surround yourself with millionaires. You'll probably be one in your lifetime." I am actively expanding my network with the kind of people I want to be.
5.) Progress things with my GF. Everything is pretty much perfect between us but I am having issues with sexual interest. It's easy to get bored with the same girl. I realize that a lot of this is up to me, I have to address the issues and not let them build up.

Like the 66% basically allow yourself one meal per day out... assuming you do the typical 3 meals per day.
and #5 I would like to hear your ideas on how to keep things interesting
agree with Bay on what he says. I've only been in your situation one time (serious GF and was bored with the sex) I did the worst possible thing ever. I ended the relationship without even having the balls to talk to her about it. I just made it seem like I was ending it for other reasons. It was the pussies way out and to this day she was the best GF I've ever had and I have to live with the fact that I blew it without even trying. I'll never know now and think she would have been down for spicing things up.
Back to how to address the actually issue. I'm of the opinion right now that the only way to keep sex from getting boring between two people to to bring another girl into the mix every once in a while. Would like to hear you and Bay's thoughts on this.

Re: Cinema's 2014 Goal Thread
Ok, regarding #5...
My thinking is that my GF is basically the exact woman I want, minus some sexual boredom. Maybe I am compromising but weighing all my options, my GF is near perfect. We get along so well, and she is definitely a positive force in my life that has made me happiest I've ever been. And while I admit that going into a relationship with 3-somes as a set rule would have been ideal, this is my first long term girlfriend and I knew it would be a learning experience.
So, with all honesty, the sexual boredom is something I need to actively address. I have a plan that I hope makes sex more interesting and might train my girl into opening up to 3-somes at some point in the future. I realize now that this is all up to me, to lead her to do these things. I have to actively pursue them in order for them to become real.
- Starting making our sex more wild. Introduce new toys, role playing, etc. I feel like my gf is down for just about anything, I just need to lead her into it.
- Start using NLP during sex to get my GF to orgasm thinking about other women. Paint the sexual picture of a three some.
- Eventually start exploring with adding other women into the mix once
I know this sounds waaaay easier than it will be. And I recognize it may not event work. Any suggestions from those of you experienced in this area would be much appreciated.

Re: Cinema's 2014 Goal Thread
everything sounds pretty spot on, but would just think about using hot/dirty talk and getting her to open up about HER dirty fantasies - instead of "using NLP during sex" type thinking
but the biggest thing about all of this is....she is your FIRST long term girlfriend
think about the FIRST anything you have enjoyed/loved
steak
drink
car
house
camera
do your tastes change?
do your tastes evolve as you get to try more things?
it could just not be the right fit
you could have needs that won't get fulfilled here...and then YOU have to decide if the juice is worth the squeeze
just like sex with the LAST girl you dug was AWESOME at the time...but doesnt compare to now
same be the case 3 years from now with new girl...
does any of that resonate?

Re: Cinema's 2014 Goal Thread
Thought I should follow up on this since 2014 is almost over!
1.) Get back in shape. Loose 20lbs of fat by May.
- Slacked a bit but I am dieting and working out hard. It's not May but I am officially down 20lbs since the beginning of the year. I am going for another 10 now!
2.) Eat better. Make at least 66% of my meals at home. Increase my veggie intake. Start this right now!
- I make a lot more food at home. I don't think it's 66% BUT when I eat out I am making much smarter decisions which has helped me lose the weight.
3.) Rebuild my clothing style. It's interesting how as you gain weight, your style gets worse and worse. As I lose weight, I will start investing my in my style again.
- Now that I am down 20lbs, a lot of my old stylish clothing is fitting again. Plus I am slowly adding new items. Still a lot of room to grow in this area.
4.) Begin the transition from boutique style business to medium sized business. Increase bookings by 33% this year.
- Transition begun! I now have 2 editors, 2 shooters, and 2 other girls working on a blog based business I also own. In terms of mentors, I have two awesome businessmen that fit into that category that also seem to have taken an interest in "training me." Working on a third person who is a multimillionaire.
Business grew about 20% this year so I didn't quite reach my goal but It's still good growth!
5.) Progress things with my GF.
- For those of you who follow the forum, I broke up with my GF back in March. Things have been a mix of good and rough since. I'm not nearly as interested in going out and banging girls anymore, searching for quality chicks is more my priority. But also paying a lot more attention to my business and not worrying about proving anything to myself in the girl department. Not going to lie, getting over my GF has been rough. She was my first serious relationship and I am sure that is a big part of it. Most people had their first serious GF in high school or college, so I think dealing with it when you are in your mid-to-late twenties is rougher.

Re: Cinema's 2014 Goal Thread
Very cool to see that you've stuck with everything that you planned on improving at the beginning of the year.
You've lost 20lbs of fat which is awesome. I recently started focusing on my nutrition and living a much healthier life style and it's amazing how much it helps.
20 lbs of fat is a lot so congratulations.
You mentioned you want to make most of your meals at home and eat out less. Part of my nutrition plan is meal replacement shakes , it takes a bit to adjust but it's helped me an incredible amount.
It seems like you're doing well in that department but if it helps calculate how much you would waste eating out. I printed out my bank statement for a month and was shocked at how much I actually spent.
Seeing it on paper was a huge eye opener.
I can relate when you mentioned losing weight has made you invest in your clothing more. I got pretty big and just kinda didn't care. Now that I am losing weight I see clothes I want to be able to wear and take a more active interest in my appearance.
I remember reading the thread about when you decided to end it with your gf. You made the decision not to settle which is a tough decision considering how much you cared for her. It's good to hear you are moving on and focusing on improving you.
Now that it's almost a New Year , are you making new goals for this upcoming year ? or perhaps just continuing to expand on the goals you have at the moment ?
