Ar15 1 to 5 drill

Post by madmax »

Ok, here's how you set up.
Three targets 6 foot apart, 21 foot away.
Round count 15
Target #1 one round
Target #2 two rounds
Target #3 three rounds
Target #2 four rounds
Target #1 five rounds
To count all rounds must be able to be covered with a paper plate.
Have fun, post your times. Better yet post video.
Edit: You'll notice that the shot timer is forward of the firing line. We do a lot of this in SWAT. I do not recommend it. No one should be forward of the firing line with hot weapons.Image

Hahahaha. Yeah, that's the Bushy I was telling you about. My friends call it "the pig" as it weighs in at about 13lbs.

Ah, my brother ICE.
Hammer drills: 5 targets IDPA standard. 3 feet apart. 7 yards away. 2 rounds into each target with one sight picture. (par time 5 seconds)
El Presidente drill: 3 targets. 1 foot apart. 6 rounds
Target one: 1 round
Target two: 1 round
Target three: 2 rounds
Target two: 1 round
Target one: 1 round
(par time is 3 seconds)
El Diablo drill: 1 target IDPA standard. 18 rounds. 15 yards
6 rounds standing
6 rounds kneeling
6 rounds prone
(par time is 14 seconds) Also, reverse this drill, so that you are comfortable fighting to the ground or from the ground.
