Guys,
I'm a committed distance runner and something of an exercise fanatic (kind of goes hand in hand with managing Type 1 Diabetes as it helps keep the doses of insulin I need ultra low). The tripartite of insulin, diet and exercise is the foundation stone around which my diabetic life revolves, but have recently read an article citing that too much cardio, a low fat diet and insufficient sleep all reduce your testosterone levels which are all things I'm guilty of
http://dailyhealthpost.com/5-ways-youre ... tosterone/
Also at age 30 I'm starting to become gradually aware of a receding hairline again something which from what I have read, is a possible indication of reduced testosterone levels https://www.lowtcenter.com/symptoms
Anyone any advice?
Need to boost my Testosterone Levels

It's possible, but ultimately you should have a doctor run a blood test.
Way back in my super AFC days, I was convinced I had a testosterone problem and had blood work done. 100% normal... lol. It was all in my head and I was looking for a quick excuse for my girl problems. I'm not implying that is what you are doing, but you need science to confirm these things.

I am 24 and don't suffer from low T but this is a subject I have spent a lot of time researching. I don't want adequate amounts of T. I want to be a beast dripping with test. (without steroids)
I take zma with valerian. I just sleep better and feel great when waking up.
Look up the benefits of zma-
http://www.mensfitness.com/nutrition/su ... -guide-zma
valerian is an herb that is a sleep aid. feel great waking up at any time. whether its 6 hours or 9 hours.
Sleep is the most important thing for testosterone levels. Need to figure out how smart you are sleeping- this is a book-
http://www.amazon.com/Sleep-Smarter-Pro ... 0984574522
also here is an article about the importance of sleep with testosterone.-- it's towards the end of the article but insufficient sleep decreases test by 10-15%.
http://www.artofmanliness.com/2013/01/1 ... naturally/
If you wake up to an alarm in the middle of a sleep cycle- you will be tired all day. It's not fucking natural and not how our ancestors woke up meaning our bodies aren't used to it.
Also if you are waking up a lot during the night also an insufficient sleep.
some other sleep hacks are not drinking anything 2 hours before going to sleep and not eating 3-4 hours before sleeping. no digestion, no having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night-- sounds like a better sleep to me.
I have been doing intermittent fasting over the past 3-4 weeks and have been feeling great while doing this and this also makes sure that I am not eating before sleeping.

Also I couldn't find a ton of evidence on it but when you wake up and take a cold shower- instantly ready for the day and shocks your body into increasing testosterone.
complete bullshit that cold will give you a cold. reading man's search for meaning by victor frankl. if a thousand people are in a cold concentration camp with cold showers and not getting sick- it's not a real life thing.
http://www.thehackedmind.com/7-reasons- ... y-matters/
high compound heavy exercises like deadlifts, squats, and shoulder press also increase testosterone. i love deadlifts for this- my favorite exercise.
http://www.build-some-muscle.com/lift-h ... ights.html
I read somewhere that after 30 you lose 1-2 percent of testosterone each year. scary. I personally don't want to be one of those neutered low sex drive beta males by the age of 40.
I have experienced a lot more energy doing a lot of these things and feel great waking up despite being one of those people that used to hate when the morning came.
I will say, and I don't know if this is a placebo, but I haven't been avoiding confrontation, have been speaking up, have been a beast in the bedroom, and have simply had the extra energy. I do struggle being stagnant or having a lazy day though :/
I have learned a lot of these things from danger & play and the manosphere and couldn't be happier.
I feel as though alpha males have elevated testosterone and through a lot of these things you will have elevated testosterone.
try some of these things you will be very pleased. I sure am.
also a great book on nutrition is "in defense of food"- Have learned more about my body in the past 2 months than I ever have and wish I had known a lot of these things a few years ago as I feel like a couple years of wasted time in the gym.
c'est la vie
if anyone has any questions please ask. I have put a little bit of time into this post and am hoping it helps a lot of people. I think it will.

Thanks, SD. Really helpful. I don't sleep great or even if I do I have SUPER LOW energy and tiredness in the day. Will look into that vitamin.

Might wanna get checked for sleep apnea too. If you're sleeping through a full 8 hours and still that tired it could be the case. What sleep apnea does, is it means you stop breathing several times a night and your body wakes you up without you realizing it. It's normally a problem with overweight people, but it can affect healthy sized people as well.Valmont wrote:Thanks, SD. Really helpful. It could also be abnormal sleep patterns. I'd do like Cinema said and have the blood work done, then work on getting the sleep patterns right.

Just can't stress enough, See a doctor before you do anything! You may not even have a problem. But if you do, then start experimenting and finding a solution.

Hey Bond,
Loads of solid advice from the other guys!
I personally think you're probably worried about nothing, but as the other guys have suggested go see a Doctor and get yourself checked over.

Re: Need to boost my Testosterone Levels
For me:
-cutting alcohol
-losing weight
-eating more vegetables/less breads
-more consistent sleep
-much more core and cardio workouts
-and drinking lots of water
have definitely increased my sex drive, the amount of boners, and my general mood. Which I'm taking as a sign that my test is better than where it used to be.
but if you're really concerned follow Moiser's advice and go see a doctor.

Re: Need to boost my Testosterone Levels
Getting more sleep and increasing my water consumption has helped
