Morning lads

I’m actually right now stuck on a bus in the middle of nowhere Australia. I don’t even understand how my iphone still has reception but anyway. I have a question about my work situation just wanted to see what you guys think.

So I have had enough of my job, I actually like the people and my boss and I get paid well, but I feel like im trapped in an office everyday and it is slowly driving me crazy.

My plan was to go and work in a bar while I’m at uni mostly to help with studying but also to try something different and interact with people more everyday.

Now I don’t have a working car for a few months, bar work is going to be a lot harder to find and more difficult to get there after hours.

Basically I have a steady well paying (for what I do) job that I hate going to everyday. but I’m not totally convinced that just up and leaving is going to be the best decision even if that’s what I want to do. thoughts?

Why not do both? They're not mutually exclusive.

Your day job is your DAY job. You work during the daytime in a job that you hate but still pays the bills.

Meanwhile, working in nightlife means mostly working at NIGHT. So get your foot in the door, gain the experience and make meaningful connections in the industry (this is where your pickup/social skills come in handy, but instead of trying to sleep with people, you're trying to work your way up the ladder).

After a few months working both, you'll have a better idea of what best suits you. Maybe you'll realise how much you like your day job and then stay on for that. Maybe you'll like the bar gig so much that you'll quit the day job. Maybe you enjoy both and can manage everything that you keep both jobs.

Try it out, let us know how it turns out!

What are your current goals with women

And for improving yourselves?

So. That's a tough one for me. I am at a point with my fb where we've been seeing each other 9 months, and we've met each others parents are good with each other's family that I have a hard time going out and meeting new girls

That being said, I think deep down, I'm a poly and I can never be fully satisfied with just one. I'm just getting towards setting up poly relationships and figuring out how to frame it with girls coming in. At the same time, I'm very happy with the one I'm with now.

With regards to improving myself:

- Graduate from masters program next year
- After this, move for change in scenery, higher paying job, see something new, do something meaningful
- Meeting and surrounding myself with positive like-minded people
- Giving more than I am taking, not asking for anything in return
- Mentor or being a big brother
- Buy a house, get a roommate downstairs (make sure it's soundproof haha)
- Stock up on SHTF stuff
- Complete my bug-out bag
- Complete my bug-out plan
- Have Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to defending my house
- Stock up on 5.56/.223 9mm ammo
- Look at getting shotgun and ammo, and rifles.
- Take gunschool that B recommended
- Coaching at future PX's
- Continuing to build my leadership capacity and learning frame
- Working out/keeping fit and leading healthy lifestyle
- Being close with my family and being there for them - they've always given a lot and not ask anything in return, it's time I give back to them however I can
- Get a SUV/Truck and learn to camp/fish/hunt/go out in wilderness

Long list but I know I can do each one of them. Thanks for asking!

:D

--Also, open to hearing anything you think can help me be better as well!

Woah, slow down there big guy...

You want to trade your well-paying office job where you work with good boss and team... to work at a bar???

So curious to know why you would want to do that - is it just a change for something new and you want to do something completely opposite? Is it b/c it'll be easier for you to meet women that way - instead of cold-approaching?

It seems to me that a lot of people work to get to where you're at... and start at where you want to be going - so whatever you do, may be valuable to know really why it is you want to take that path and is it worth it. If it is, then go for for it - just be strategic about it, vs. quick reaction decision.

It's something I have been thinking about for a few months now, I'm not just looking at bar work could also be retail or in a industrial type retail shop like my old job.. I'm just not feeling the current job and don't want to just stay there for money and because it's easy.. If that makes sense?
