I have to say I've learnt and got so much from dancing that it actually changed my life.
You can learn so much from it and you'll never believe or think it has to do anything with dancing.
From my experience with social dancing 80% of the people that are dancing in the danceclubs are don't really know how to dance, all they know to do is making moves/patterns by rhythm, It's like gaming only by canned material/plans/stack/method without being able to just flow with things, trusting yourself and getting truly better results than with patterns.
To really get to a level that you truly understand dancing/dancing principles and be able to learn every style of dancing, because all the principles are the same, takes A LOT from you and you must go through a process that will teach you a lot of things about learning, improving yourself and life in general.
So what I do recommend for you is to focus on one style of dancing preferably a social dancing until you truly master it, then you can learn another style, you will learn different principles from every style, but most of the principles remain the same, mixing styles will just interfere your learning, there are particular kind of body movements and styling for each dancing style and learning more styles will make your movements "bleed" to the other style mixing them together and resulting in a mismatched styles.
Beside that if you are going to learn social dancing and hit on girls, you should play an endurance and smart game rather than warm approach game(talking for half an hour and going for the number) because most of the girls are going there regulary and you don't want to get yourself a name of a player or getting rejected left and right or worse date/sleep/breakup with girls and see all of them together in one place every time, trust me, been there done that, so you better take your time with it, but it doesn't mean being afraid to act/close.
Also I recommend you taking Hip Hop lessons to learn how to really move your body by the music or in other word Musicality, in short it is the mixture of understanding the music and knowing how to move your body thus moving your body by the music or more accurately, reflecting the music with your body which means for example if a deaf person would watch you dance he would be able to "hear" the music through your dancing.
