it's been almost 10 years since Stephen gave me life advice that i am still using today. I wrote this quote and diagram down in 2011 to remind myself to always go for what i believe in and not whats comfortable and safe. i am still using these reminders today. looking back at how much of a different person ive become, i realized a big part of my growth came from hard truths i learned from right here.

how many ways can i start? LOL. Stephen, you know back then i was a young adult. lost. desperately trying to fit in and find my way. constantly putting on different masks and identities to try to feel accepted and validated by other people's "standards" always trying to fill some void or insecurity within myself of not being enough. Low self esteem with no goals. no aspirations. focusing on things that don't really matter. Looking back at the root reason for me to even join here and get help with women in 2011 i realized, honestly that's not even what i wanted. at lease not for the right reasons. there's no way i could been successful with a women, i barely knew myself. it's no wonder why i did so horribly with no conviction. I've been doing a lot of reflecting lately. and i can now say while i am not perfect, i know exactly who i am, i live on my own terms, for once in my life i am not craving for any women or anyone's approval or validation, not trying to fill any void. just working to learn and better myself everyday. i am content. happy. feeling free to be my bad ass un-apologetic self.
i think that alone is already something i am so grateful for. everything else is just the icing on the cake.
