This is awesome to read Noa! Great work!Noa wrote:Haven't updated in almost two months. This is a post px update:
Going out a lot more, opening everywhere and already have gotten 20 # closes in the last two weeks. My birthday is coming up so I have to keep making good approaches and pushing the interactions a bit.
I'm also looking to add some type of Kali or BJJ into my training mix. Also looking to add another dance class. With this, I should have a full/busy schedule every day, learning skills that I want to learn.
Will try to post a more extensive update soon.

Re: Noa's 2016 Goals
Hi Guys,
Here’s just an update over the last few months and a glimpse on my goals for 2017. For starters, I can say that, although I did not accomplish all of my goals in 2016, I definitely grew overall as a person and improved my lifestyle, like never before. My biggest accomplishment in 2016 was finally accepting who I was and being happy with myself. Although I will always be working on improving my life, this was definitely a sticking point with me for a long, LONG time. If this is a limiting belief of yours, then this post may help you and I hope it does!
TL;DR – I wasn’t happy with myself and worked on making changes. Now I’m the happiest I’ve been, in such a long time and it’s going to keep getting better. I set some goals for 2017 that I will definitely accomplish.
To begin, I always despised taking any picture with anyone. I just thought I never looked good in them and it showed. I hated my smile, because I was self-conscious about my teeth and didn’t enjoy the way it looked. Even after I went and got them fixed, I still felt like my smile wasn’t good enough. I thought I dressed well, but honestly I was WAY off. I dressed like a kid, not a man, too casual sometimes. Although I was told on various occasions I looked younger than I am (19 & 20), I didn’t want my clothes to say I’m still kid. Hell I didn’t want me clothes to even portray me as a college student, because I’m no longer one. More often than not, I always struggled portraying my best version of myself to new people.
Once I was able to really understand and internalize what’s really important, my entire outlook on life, in general, had changed.
First thing I focused on was socializing in various settings, including those that I’m not comfortable with/don’t enjoy (night clubs specifically). Although I don’t like night clubs, I now have the skill set to “game”, if I really want to, without any type of limiting belief holding me back and it feels awesome. I began to use that skill set for day game and networking and overall just meeting cool, fun people. A lot of this has to do with being able to present my best self at any given situation and if people don’t like that version, then it’s their loss for missing out on knowing a cool, fun person.
I also focused on improving my wardrobe this year. I threw away/donated about 80% of my old clothing, 2 months after PX. Since then I have slowly built my wardrobe to cool, fashionable styles that could work in many different settings. Hell, I even own and wear leather pants now, something I never thought I would be comfortable doing, but am able to pull off because I learned how to style myself better. Many people now think I’m about 3-4 years older, mostly because of my clothing and demeanor and not 19 year old college kid. I don’t even considering my fashion sense as “peacocking” either; it’s just a part of me. The proper clothing has definitely given me MUCH more confidence.
This confidence definitely has had an impact on one of my limiting beliefs; taking pictures. Before, when I did take a picture, it was because I was put in a situation where I couldn’t say no and then had to force a smile. Once I started to improve my life, I began taking pictures to “DHV.” Even though pictures that DHV, help for a variety of reasons, I actually began liking taking pictures with people and such. Now, I take pictures, not for DHV purposes, but because I want to have a snapshot of an awesome memory, which tends to include cool, fun people I have met. The “DHV” factor of a picture has now become a by-product of my always improving lifestyle.
What’s crazy is that I now have more confidence, than ever before. I used to think being in great shape would help, but even when I used to be in top fitness condition (used to hit the gym 8-10x a week), I never had this much confidence. I’m not in the best shape now, physically speaking, but now when I go to the gym or do any physical activity, I’m doing it for me, not to impress some girl (was another big sticking point).
How did I make these improvements? I had an honest conversation with myself and wrote down what I needed to improve. I didn’t like my fashion, so I went out and asked for help. I was surprised how many of the store workers were willing to help and you receive immediate feedback the style work or not = saves money and time from buying an outfit that doesn’t work. I wasn’t good at talking to people, so I constantly worked on that and now I can converse with just about anyone, about anything. I didn’t like my smile, so I asked myself “Why?” and realized it was a stupid limiting belief. Sometimes the answer to a problem is simple and all it needs is a question.
If you’re in a position where you want to improve your life, because you’re probably not happy with it, then begin to think of HOW you can improve and take action. If you want to improve your fashion, go to clothing stores and ask for help. If you want to network with other people, go to networking events (that’s what they’re for). If you could put yourself in a position that’s advantageous to you and save you a lot of time, why not go for it?
With that said, here are some goals I aim to work on during the year:
- Make 1 approach per day, every day this year.
- Successfully launch my business and expand from my current gig ratio from 1x/month, to, at minimum, 3x a month by April. Then expand to 8 gigs a month.
- Get back into peak physical condition.
- Run the NYC Marathon.
- Continue learning new languages.
- Perform at my dance studio’s hip hop showcase in May/June (been wanting to do this for 3 years now)
- Travel to Las Vegas (never been, couldn’t last year due to logistics).
These are just a few goals; I have a lot more, but will add them later and will also add in how I’m going to accomplish these goals.
Hope everyone has a Happy New Year and can’t wait to see what 2017 brings!
