I currently carry Hornady 9mm LUGER, 124GR XTP.
A guy at the gun store recommended I try Liberty 9mm Civil Defense, 50gr +P.
The liberty are much more lighter, 50gr .v 124gr. My only concern would be penetration. Here is a video I found of a gel test. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_hZMZM1l04
The reviewer seems concerned that you may need multiple shots to stop a threat with this round.
I guess the positives of Liberty will be minimized risk of exiting bullet hitting an innocent bystander. Lighter weight and less recoil.
Has anyone else weighed the pro's and cons of this or a similar round?
Thanks
Best ammo when carrying

Re: Best ammo when carrying
MagSafe- think that was the name, was also marketed as the best round ever.
Los much bs out there.
I go off of FBI and PD testing.
I also like middle weight like 124-125 ge for 9mm (instead of 147 or 115)
Currently Speer gold dot 124+p. And got a good deal on some federal 124or 125 I foget. +p+

Bravo is correct.
Expansion and wound cavity means very little in handgun rounds.
Stick with bonded bullets. HST, Gold Dot, Bonded Sabers, whatever.
Bonded bullets will stay together through automotive glass, sheet metal, plywood, and polyurethane.
A coroner told me one time, pistol bullets kill by letting air in and blood out.
