I went to the North Ga mountains this weekend. We had a long weekend due to fall break. After going to see am awesome waterfall, that is about 20' higher than Niagara Falls, I went to a WMA area to camp for the night. It was around 5pm and by the time I hiked to the site I wanted to camp at, it was getting dark. Thanks to this handy head light, I was able to set up camp, and use my sawyer water filter to get some water before it started raining.
This head light allows you to work without having to use a hand to hold a light. It also has a red light, which is good tactically, and for keeping you from losing your night vision. I personally have one in my BOB and my camping backpack. The one in the picture below is the one I carry in my Camping backpack. It is a little brighter, but requires you charge it by plugging it in. So make sure you charge one like this before going camping.
The one in my BOB is nice also, but it just takes (2) AAA batteries. I carry a 4 pack of AAA batteries in my BOB with it.
Here it is.
I am glad I had this while in the Mountains this weekend!
