Re: Troubles with shopping
Not sure if that's a problem though
Are you trying new stuff on, stuff that you might not be into yet just to see how things look on you? Gotta try new stuff out and see how it looks.
A lot of stuff that I wear now, weren't things that I thought would look good on me years ago
But now that I've developed my fashion sense more, I know what I want when I see it.
Also talking to HG's about what they think helps too. Some will sell you everything to get commission so be careful of that.
Once you find regular stores you like, you can build rapport and develop trust with the HG's that have a good fashion sense and will be honest with you

Ices advice is solid. Just because you know what's in style doesn't mean it looks good on you. Try it on anyway. Try different things than you normally would. I'm with ice, I wear a completely different style now. I used to wear big tshirts and baggy jeans. Now I prefer a tighter fit and button ups. Most stores aren't commission based so try the hg tactic again.

Re: Troubles with shopping
Ice and Jay T are right on. Also, try it on anyway, because different brands of jeans are cut different ways. So you may wear a 32 in one brand and a 34 in a different brands.
I would always try them on before purchasing. The same goes for any other clothing you buy:). The fit is essential.
