getting some solid advice here, I would try out that rock look, not completely shaved, but like a five o'clock shadow.

With the shoes I think its a good idea to invest in a decent pair. These are two pairs im looking at getting, to add to what I already have.

Decent price:

More expensive:

It looks like they have discounted quite a few styles at the moment, some are 40% off, I pay $30 delivery to Australia, but Im pretty sure it is free delivery to US/Canada

Some girls that my friends knew convinced me to shave a few years back after bugging me for months. When I did, they all agreed I should grow it back. Most people who have seen me with both styles say I look more masculine with it... but maybe going fresh faced is what I need now.

I don't have any recent pictures, all I have is from 5 years back, and I'd be taking a picture of a picture... can't make out anything.

EDIT: Here is the pic, if it helps. I'll prob take this one down after a bit. That's what my 5oclock shadow looks like (that's actually a beard). Remember this pic is 5 years old, so I look a lot younger, but you can see I have a weak jawline going.

5oclock shadow doesn't work for me at all. I have too much red in my beard (my mom is a redhead). It's either clean shaven or thick.

I'll ask some of the girls at the salon or when I'm shopping what they think. If they want it to go, well, let's give it a shot.

Alright then, I will go to Danier and ask them for a reputable tailor that does leather.

Pretty stylin shoes, Monteray. I was originally thinking some italian cut loafers, but it seems the laced wingtips are the big fashion now. I'm wondering, though, the wingtips are kind of a formal style, aren't they? What do I need to have in the outfit to bring it back to casual?

Was also thinking about jeans with the red or orange stitching that gives a bit of contrast, not sure if that's a faux-pas these days.

Yea man, try out a fresh shaved face - you might like it

I think you look way better shaved - and it makes you look younger

Your jawline is good man. Don't even worry about it

You have the potential to look very good

think about either growing your hair and getting a new style or shaving it like the rock

Form fitting clothes

try out new looks - stuff that you may never have tried on - but just see how it looks on you :)

Consensus from who?

Are these girls that are sleeping with you? If not they don't matter. Has your look been getting you laid? No, so try it. It will make you look a lot younger. If after a couple months you don't like it, you can always grow it back.

If people are used to your beard, they will think you look weird at first when you shave it. Plus you'll look a little pale on your face for a few days.

try this if you are still unsure. Ask strangers how old they think you are. Then shave the beard and ask more strangers. I bet you'll get a very different response.

But it will definitely look better. Shave it. And You have a receding hair line. I have a thinning spot on the back of my head. Going to have to shave it soon too. But if you don't want to shave your head, style it better.

But I really think the beard needs to go. And like Ice said, your jaw line is fine.

This thread has really inspired me. I'm just going to do it. : :D I'll shave the beard tonight and give it some time to see how I like it. I'll be an interesting experiment if nothing else.

I'm also going to try to grow the hair out, do the long slicked back hair on top with the sides cropped. The standard hipster look right now. I'm starting to thin out on top slowly, but I've got enough that I shouldn't have any issues.

If they are a bit to formal for you, you could try the plain suede style (not sure what they call them), they are pretty hot at the moment and go well with jeans.

Is better. Go with a fitted bomber style jacket. Snug. But not tight.
I have one that's similar, and the first day I wore it girls that I saw every day did a double take and told me it looked sexy.

Add some converse chuck Taylor's and you are set.
Who dares wins.

Those suede shoes are awesome, definitely the style I was thinking.

I love the jacket as well, I could see that looking totally badass and the girls loving it.

Thanks guys, definitely going to get these.

I'll put up some pics when I get some items together, so everyone can see the before and after.

Yeah bro, ditch the shirts with labels. It's highschool-ish, in a way. I agree also get one or two decent pr of dark wash jeans -Express, or Sevens or Nordstrom always look the best from my experience.
