getting darker skin in winter time

Post by Ice »

so fall/winter is coming

my skin is already looking pale and I'm looking to keep my skin colour up/darken/tan

I don't tanning salons b/c it's expensive and it can cause aging, and I got a fungal infection last time I did it

What do you guys recommend that you have tested and loved that worked for you?

I'd say lay off the whitening cream :P

My Ex loved that stuff lol

How about taking a trip to mexico or the southern states?

Or get a spray tan. Can't say I've it tried though. You have to get it done regularly to keep it up so I can't be bothered wasting my $$$.

I just put up with the paleness. It happens. We live in Canada. I find that the only girls that comment on my lack of a tan are the ones tanning and getting cancer. It's never been a deal breaker so I don't worry about it.

I take Vitamin D, go to the gym, bike in summer and xc ski in the winter. Helps me feel better and keeps me looking good enough that I get positive comments.

I spray tanned once, 2 years ago, for a Halloween costume. (Jack Sparrow-ish pirate). And I was deathly pale.

During the spray, I didn't think it looked that dark. I honestly don't remember if there were darker levels or such. They told me not to shower for a couple hours.
I got home and looked in the mirror. I didn't even realize how dark I had become from it. Like Jersey Shore dark.
Took a shower a couple hours later and probably a good 50% of the darkness came off in the shower.
What remained on me made it seem I had been living in Mexico for the last month. Not a bad color.

It lasted for about 1 week. Really faded the last day or two.
My one time use was $30. It was cheaper with monthly deals and such.
I haven't done it again. It's more expensive than regular tanning here. Not cost effective at all.
The only thing it does is save time (1 time a week or so).

I'm not sure of a good way to get color without tanning/spray.

Go to a store and get some good skin lotion. My skin becomes so dry that if I lick my finger and run it over my calve muscle, it gets more tan. Simply from the dead/dry skin on top. Think of it like the desert. Just cracked, dry, and without color. Same with skin, or at least mine.
I would suggest doing this anyways, plus reduced itchyness.

Melotan hasn't been approved outside of clinical trials.

Some tanning places like LA Tan have $5 (or less) days once a week. So can choose a low powered bed and go once a week if worried. Can get some sets in as well

Its a peptide

No piptide will ever be approved, thats so they can cover there own ass

But they are made in controled sterile approved labs

Just no one knows the long term affects

I will give it a shot this year

It works, and it works well. It can almost work too good, however you have to get some kind of sun or tanning bed in or it doesnt do much. It can cause freckles/dark spots of pigment. Your face will most likely get dark faster than the rest of your body. In the summer its a god send to people such as myself that burn and burn bad.

Edit: I forgot to add here other side effects can be random hard ons that just wont go away, it can make you a bit nauseous when you take it, also it can curb your appetite which is good if you are dieting down.

So I'm concerned about the health side effects about all these products/chemicals...

basically what I'm gathering is that there is no natural vitamin/supplement

Hmm
