Anyone in NJ have a gun permit?

Hey peeps I'm interested in getting a gun permit and learning about firearms. Anyone out there in NJ know approx costs?

I went with my uncle when he got his:

It's about $60 application fee
$5 for the firearms ID
I believe it was $2 per permit(you need one for every hsndgun you want to buy).

I think it's $20 for a subsequent application(I'm pretty sure it's the 212A Form, but don't quote me on it) + $2 for permit.

To get a permit to carry a handgun is pretty tough if you're not a cop or in an occupation that requires a gun(necessity).

Also I do know if you have a permit frok another state(tocarry) it isnt valid in NJ.

Called a gun range and they said I needed a gun permit.. I just want to learn how to shoot one properly. Gun permit is whatever unfortunately our state isn't exactly pro gun.
