Possible SPAMMER or TROLL?? How to REPORT a post

Post by Bravo »

This is actually a quality problem, and one I knew would be coming soon.

OUR forum is growing, and with that, spammers and trolls.

I am VERY protective of my guys, my brothers. Many of you who have supported me when I went solo (more than guys I use to work for and with).

Since the site upgrade, I am paying around the same each month now, as I use to for the entire 1st year.

I will NOT let some mother fuckers come into OUR house and cause shit, OR use the site that I, and GOLD NAMERS, pay for to advertise their shit!

You never saw me hoping on every forum, with fake accounts, copying and pasting links to my site, trying to build traffic.

I busted my ass to get where I am, and not going to let some scammer, poser, or new "MPUA" by night ride my coattails and try and trick you guys.

SO

making this thread to share with you guys, the preferred way dealing with this slack jawed fagots.

ALWAYS REPORT IT

1. If you see a spam post, a trolling post, or a post that has CLEARLY crossed the line (and remember, we have a pretty far away line).

-to report, you click the little exclamation right at the top of the post-
Report2.png

2. If it is really serious, and needs IMMEDIATE attention, after you REPORT IT, then please Private Message me on the forum, with the SUBJECT LINE of what the issue is (eg. TROLL, SPAM) with a direct link to the thread, along with a brief summary of what the issue is.

3. If it is CODE RED then email me -BravoPUA@ gmail -, after you REPORT IT, then email me a direct link to the thread, with a brief summary of the issue.

Review-

REPORT IT

PM me with a direct link if needed

Email me with a direct link if needed

if you don't include the link, it makes it WAY harder for me to try and figure out/search for the problem

REPORTING it always creates a paper trail

and you guys see how ofter I am on here, so really just REPORTING it, will cover 99.999% of any issues we have.

Thanks guys, and remember, this entire forum is only as cool as WE make it!

I made this thread because

1. I really do need your guys help with this.

2. Clearly laying out the guidelines, helps us all know what the "rules" are and what is expected. It helps us all get on the same wavelength for community policing. Which then starts a snowball effect with you guys letting new guys know how we do things round here.

3. Prevents guys from texting me, Facebooking me, IMing me, or other ways of contacting me about this. Which cause problems when I am driving or out on a date- lol. But that was MY fault, because I never let you guys know how I want these to be handled.

Lastly, I still give you guys permission to troll them after they spam, like the squirrel facts!

Respectfully,
Bravo

What do you think of a Introduction / newbie section for people without their white belt? This could help blocking a lot of those bots and at least they would be confined to 1 section.

Thought about a newbie section, but don't want to create a new section, that will be full of lame AFC stuff, and will then just mean spam posts only end up in there= still same amount of work for me cleaning up.

Once their is a spammer, it only takes a few clicks to delete all their posts.

Think someone ran a script that answered my security question, so I changed it. That should hold them back for a bit.

And thanks guys for helping keep this place awesome and clean. If you see, report like this post explains, and I'll hop on.
Respectfully,
Bravo

Hello Bravo,

Thank you for creating this thread. It's helpful to have some ground rules for people looking to promote stuff in their local community. I'm going to look over your website for info about becoming a GoldName. If I don't find it, I'll post later asking for a link. I'm active on a number of forums and each one has it's own rules. Here is my deal: I'm working to build the Seattle community, and I host a mixture of free and paid events. To date the paid events have been at cost. Some forums say absolutely no paid events unless you pay to advertise. I respect that. Other forums say absolutely no events free, paid or otherwise. I respect that too.

Thank you for building this website.

Take care,
Spence Verde

Your other post was spam, 1st post and trying to sell your services.

Then this one, which also had your sales number in it....

You spam my how to report a spammer thread? Dangle buying a gold name (which is a 20 dollar donation, as you try to sell 50 dollar tickets on my website...which the post on that is at the top of every forum section. Please DON'T buy a gold name, because then you'll think your entitled to something around here!

Fuck me...

Shit in the PUA world never ceases to surprise me...

-just deleted a TON more SPAM accounts

I did accidently delete 1 legit account (couldnt tell at the time it was legit)

so if you JUST registered, like last night, and then can't log in today, you might have gotten hit by friendly fire

I had to delete the SPAM accounts by the page, if I did 1 by 1 it would have taken me a few hours to just do what I did

so if it did happen, I am sorry

you had 0 posts, so no biggie, just re-register and you are good to go

:)
