One of my goals/objectives this month is to develop my style with socks beyond plain black. I'll be purchasing some additional pairs, playing more with what I have, and just experimenting in general.
I meant to start this thread earlier in the month, kept forgetting to take pics but have been getting compliments.
My focus is socks but will be including pics of whatever I'm wearing that day for reference. I'm going to try to update this as often as I can throughout the month.

Have a few different ones in my suitcase as well....but no red socks! Are you a red socks fan?
The one pic with the light jeans and dark shoes looks good. I'll usually use a similar sock with my black or grey shoes, brown shoes it's usually black/tan/brown socks.

Not at all...kingdavid wrote:Are you a red socks fan?
I decided to ride today and am wearing boots so there was no reason to wear anything but regular socks. I think I will aim to post/update daily even if wearing boots.

I got these from a local Cycle Gear a little over a year ago but think they are boring and want to get a new pair at some point. If anyone has ideas on more stylish motorcycle boots that still offer good protection please let me know. Or even places that have good deals.

Hey man.
Dig the shoes in the 2nd pic A LOT. This is a personal taste. The Team England guys will vouch that I like to wear nice dress shoes for any occasion with a shirt, so it's casual or fancy as I see fit. Obviously with riding a bike, that may cause an issue, I don't ride though so I don't know.
The advice I would say is that with the right shoes and good fitting jeans socks can be irrelevant. I usually wear odd socks and if someone compliments it I style it off. "I was having a crazy night last night." "Live fast, die young, wear odd socks." Work out what your frame is and encorporate it in.

Thanks. They're Cole Haam wing tips I picked up at Nordstrom Rack (not sure if you guys have them in England). It's a great place to get good deals on both name brand clothes and shoes.Valmont wrote:Dig the shoes in the 2nd pic A LOT. This is a personal taste.
I would disagree only in that nice socks go the extra mile. I don't think anyone's style would be damaged by plain socks, but I think more stylish socks make a statement. The devil is in the details as they say. So I view nice socks up there with your shoes having an incredible shine.Valmont wrote:The advice I would say is that with the right shoes and good fitting jeans socks can be irrelevant.
Wore boots again yesterday. My pants are hiked up a bit to get a pic of them

The vest pic looks pimp!
This made me laugh, I was seeing a girl and that was one of her biggest complaints about her ex. He would wear dress shoes and nice jeans then shitty plain socks. Thought she would ask me to leave my socks on in bed, just to get that memory out of her head.
