Rockonova's Vision Board, Values and Goal Setting

Post by RocKoNoVA »

I just want to say this is what makes the BravoPua forum SO MUCH MORE EFFECTIVE than any other board I've ever come across. When I achieve my goal of being a big rap star, parties for everyone !!

Here's my vision board

2 months from now

I am playing 3 acoustic guitar house shows a week making $500
I am proud of myself for dropping my waistline from 36 - 34
I am seeing 2 girls, each with their own awesomeness and inspiring drama
I am making rap beats for my friends
I know more about the history of Motown and Beatles

Hey Rocko

Your vision board has actual pictures which illustrates what you envision your life to be

Your vision is a clear and concrete description of that

So with your Vision of being a big rap star, envision what life you see

Then values of how you get there

Then goals of how you get there - specific clear and concrete goals of what you will do to get to being a rap star

ie. is it networking, working on your rap, going to events, starting off at local clubs, making youtube presence - go further into the details of how you will make this come true

The life that I see is me being in the studio pretty much all day, occasionally going to workout and doing brazilian jiu jitsu.

I know live shows are VERY important so the past year I've been doing open mics at least once or twice a week.

My immediate goal is getting those acoustic guitar house shows booked. Im trying out for this one website that helps people book them, but its a bit pricey so I gotta wait till next to get the money.

I've also worked on my own website which I launched yesterday, with the goal of getting people to sign up to my email list.

Ive been making rap beats and I know the basics, but I can always step up the quality of the sound, especially the drums so I've been watching a lot of youtube videos on that.

The value that I feel is most important is determination.

My definition of determination is: No matter what obstacles, time constraints, outside influences, etc. I know they're all temporary and once Im clear of what I want, Im eventually gonna get it by just keeping on going.

I realize I gotta start recording what Im doing in order to make any real long lasting changes.

My biggest fitness goal is to increase my cardio.

I've been running around my block and in the summer, I use to have trouble even completing one lap. Last week I was able to do 2 1/3 laps. It's gotten a bit colder in Chicago, so I've been averaging about a lap and 1/2.

My goal is to be able to jog 4 laps and then start working on run intensity.

I've also been doing jump-rope. My daily workout is 3 reps of jump rope. My record for one is 1 min 12 sec. My short term goal is 1 min 30 sec. and my long term goal is 5 min.

Working on strengthening my core and legs.

I've also been slowly learning about guns, self defense and have sporadically going back to taking brazilian jiu jitsu classes.

Right now the main focus of my life is finishing this acoustic cd and start booking shows outside of my general area.

Been meditating for at least 10 minutes a day.

I gotta start doing some focused creative visualization and start recording my progress with that.
