FR forum not really private?

I'm new here.. I see a user at the bottom called Google [Bot]. I was told the FR section is supposed to be hidden/private but I did a search on several of the field reports and see they are in Google's cache. Could someone please explain this?

I tried to attach a screenshot of Google [Bot] at the bottom but this forum says the quota has been reached.

Personally, I had serious reservations about posting FR but someone told me to rest assured that section of the forum is private and members only.

I wouldn't post nude photos with their faces without permission, that's just common sense.

If you are concerned about girls looking up your FR, don't tell them about The Bravohood.

If you do for some odd reason, don't tell them your screen name or the title of your FR. You are anonymous. We don't even know your real name.

from what i understand the FR section is private - only way to see in is if you're a member

google bot is not a user - it's a bot from google and shouldn't be able to see anything in the fr section


and, a few guys have been called out b/c girls they've fucked found out about them being on forums = big mess


so be smart and keep this private. there's a reason why one of the only three rules here is no girls.

I have no clue how this happened, I read up on this and did everything I thought I could do to make it MORE private.

I don't understand how the google cache works

maybe those only exist because someone ran it when they were logged in to the forum?

those could have been threads that I moved from the public section to the FR section, or were posted as stickies which link from every sub section of the forum


see how there could be reasons why they exist- which show that the "security" I put in place still works?


the google bot at the bottom of the page= EVERY website gets crawled, this forum just happens to show when it is happening- that is a 0% issue

also, ANYONE who has an account to this site could screen shot or copy any FR on this forum and post somewhere else


so of course this isn't 100% solid

I just made it hidden unless you log in, to help protect you guys from anyone who might hop on your computer and try and see where you have been, or google something and find their way to it


I am loosing TONS of traffic and links to google just to make it a little safer for you guys

most sites DONT do that, there care about traffic first

Will look into for you guys, and will hire a programmer again to fix if I can't figure out on my own, and will pay for it out of my pocket, so guys like EntityP who use this site for free, feel even safer....

I think I found this issue

After a recent forum and site upgrade (which I paid for out of pocket, along with the web hosting transfer which now costs me more each month than the old hosting plan cost me a year- which I pay for out of pocket, and GOLD NAMERS help support)

A couple of permissions might have gotten reset.

I just changed the permissions from NO (and 2 of them were read only) all to NEVER allow access

SO that might fix this, but we have to wait a little bit to see

If I ask google to remove those cache shots, then I wont know if this solution fixed it or not

the dates that those were taken, has me thinking that this was the issue


so now we have to wait and see, to see if those come down, and to see if anymore go up- to know if this fixed it

if NOT, then I will have my programmer look into

and then we will have to see if that works, and what to do then



lastly- if you open THIS thread in an incognito window, or in a tab then log out of my forum, and refresh the tab to this thread

you will see it like you are an unregistered guest

if you then open those google links, you will see the 1st page of the thread, but if you click on the NEXT page button, like you are trying to see page 2 or 3 of the thread, it doesnt work

it asks you to log in


so looks like there are a few, first page only, google caches of some FRs out there- which I didn't even know how to find or access


that to me is waaaaaay lower on the thread meter than one of you guys telling a chick about this site, her logging in and screen shoting, or copy/pasting entire threads somewhere else


so if I was in any of your guy's shoes, this isnt something I would worry about at all


but like I said- I want the FR section private for you guys, so will keep working on and looking into for you guys

because the Online Game section is 100% locked down and this didnt happen to


- so that is another idea, then we never have to worry about it, or posts like this

I think the changes I just made, and all the research I have been doing (at 6am), what I just changed is the way to go

I've been doing test searches, and around the time of the upgrade, it looks like this happened

if you search for and find a link to the FR section, when you click on it it pulls up the YOU MUST BE LOGGED IN to see this page - page

but if you mouse over to the the cached section, you can get it to pull up 1 page, but like I said before you cant click on the other pages to view them

so I never would have even found out about this, I would have clicked the google link, like we always do, and saw the MUST log in page

so a TON of work, to try and find a some cache pages, that you cant navigate around thru, for some for a few posts under forum names, that you can only find if you do that specific way


like I said- a chick could create an account here and navigate around just like us, after a few seconds

so this is REALLY something I wouldnt worry about if I was a standard forum user

I've been thinking about this for a bit. Frankly it comes down to what you want this site to be. Obviously it isn't to make money, I could only find THREE products on this entire site, I have doubts that there is enough time in your day to sell coaching calls 24/7. Besides, we've talked about this before. So it's apparent that your making profit in some other aspect of your life and sustaining this site with it.

With that being said, I support a Gold Members only for the purpose of making this site self sustainable. I am assuming that a Gold Only section would invite more of these guys to drop $20.00. Again, it's only a assumption.

If you make the entire site viewable to paid customers only, I'd pay and sponsor some poor ass orphan PUA too.
