Personally, I like my expensive jeans in tact.

I've bought ripped jeans and in my experience even with fixed to make looked ripped but actually intact... they get ripped even more from those drunkin nights doing something stupid.

I agree with most here on ripped jeans being out... with one caveat. They are great for relaxed daytime mode, have had many girls say so. If you overdress during the day it can be off putting at times. I find a nice button down with some slightly worn in jeans work great during the day. That aside, True Religion is never worth it. 5x the cost of other pairs of jeans.
