Building an Avatar

Post by Fame »

So some of you think you might know how to build your Avatar...but do you really?

Your avatar should be congruent with you as a person and what you wanna be percieved as...
For example, if you are a buisness man, you probably shouldn't have blue hair, and some ridiculous shit on. You don't need leather wrist bands if your wearing a shirt with sleaves down. wear somethign nice, you're trying to convey success, wealth etc. so a button up with a tie, or a v neck with a blazer with a nice watch or nice bracelet would probably suit you better. leather bracelets are more for a casual look.

If you are in the military, I would talk to NoMoreMrNiceGuy, he dresses nice and doesn't give an uptight vibe.

If your in a band, artist, music, photography, by all means go for the rock star edge look.

I am telling you now, stay away from highschool brands, no more hurley or dc unless you are a pro skater or bmx guy. You send off an immature vibe, that would probably only work if you're in high school.

Your hair...don't have a stupid haircut if your a professional. that's all I can say about that.

MOST IMPORTANTLY. If you are going out at night, try to get a collared shirt, and nice shoes with nice jeans. you will not get in the club, if your some douche who thinks you can go club with sneakers and a hoodie. Trust me, even some bars won't let you in. If you are going out, you should always dress somewhat nice. nice shoes is a must, collared shirts depend on the venue, but it's always a good idea to have one. you can ask them to hold it for you behind the bar if you wanna take it off.

Last but not least, if your dressed like a goth, it's probably hard to be in a non goth venue and pick up girls. but if you're dressed like a prep in a goth venue, I imagine it would be hard as well, so dress for the occassion. (how you dress is the kinda girls (in most cases) you attract naturally based on their first glance which improves your chances if you look what they want)

hope that was helpful

agreed fame. good post. it's true that the way you dress should be geared towards the type of girl you are trying to pickup.

the way mystery explains the way his over the top dress/peacocking style evolved is that he wanted the crazy hot, fame (no pun intended) wanting, celebrity wanna fuck club girls. so he said "they wanna play groupie, so i had to play rock star!

and yeah, it's always better to dress nicer. be stylish. there is a time and a place for everything, but if your going out attire consists soley of a t shirt with a funny saying, white adidas shoes, 500 silly bands, weird sunglasses and a fedora...of course you gotta do what works for you, but i'd say it's time to start evolving and moving towards a higher class. it'll help you pickup a higher end girl...

Hey guys a pleasure, first time here sent by Greg. Not wanna say a big post just to start this off my life is a ruin, lots of male friends but no girls involved whatsoever...Tho I am kinda happy and a happy guy to be around I want that spark to appear as I am a huge newbie in this area, but I will try!

So onto my post. I don't know how old are you guys but I'm 20 and I have that "skater look" which I kinda like to be honest. More or less I pretty much go out with hoodies or a collared shirt on, shorts or jeans. My only problem is my hair which I can never find a style as to which I always let it grow and then every 4 months cut it ( 3 weeks of hairphobia) but will try to find out something. Short hair is bad on me and finding a style on me is difficult cause of my bad face.

My lifestyle is pretty much go football, school,fri/sat go out. Being tall sucks too and can't figure it out too...Well here I am

Cheers.

hey man if the skater look is congruent to who you are as a person that's cool,
but it's not gonna get you in the club, it's not gonna get you in certain bars.
And quite frankly if you ask any woman over 21 what the skater look says to them you'll find your answer. Which is why I personally, would shift towards a more trendy look. the biggest thing about the skater look is the shoes and the brand names...they are associated with immaturity and youth...I mean when you think skater, you think of guys who are acting up (eg viva la bam) girls are gonna put you in the stereotype. I use to do the skater look for a while. but after changing, I like my current look better.

Being tall is a good thing! Never heard of girls liking short guys. they like tall. tall is good.

I'm trying to grow my hair out at the momment.

I used to do the skater look as well, I grew out of it though. Then I switched to preppy for a while, shopped at abercrombie and stuff, then thank god I put that to a stop. I actually despise anyone who shops at abercrombie or hollister and has graduated from high school. Right now I buy clothes mostly from macy's. I always save up and buy a few dark pairs of guess jeans, I'm 6'2" and I wear slim fit jeans, I hate baggy clothes I just think they look sloppy. For shirts I only wear v-neck t-shirts, fitted polos, fitted button downs. As for shoes, right now I've been wearing converse high tops alot. Belts, I've got a nice brown one, black one, and a white one. I like the way I dress wayyyy better now, I get compliments on how I dress all the time, definite confidence booster. I don't think I can really put the way I dress in a category because I dress different than everyone I know, I guess you could just say I dress fresh style.

Buffalo Exchange. And the girls there are HOT. By the way... if you're doing the rocker look, like what I do, I buy women's jeans, and well, 'nough said.

Can you guys elaborate more on v-neck vs. non-v-neck t-shirts? Is one in general preferable to the other? Does it depend on your avatar?
