EDIT-
OK guys, this went pretty well

I took time to answer all of these questions- and maybe some of you posted and then came back later to read= totally fine and what the plan was.

I noticed that the quote settings only allowed us to quote 3 times- I fixed that

SO going to call it a night 2+ hours.

Hope you guys enjoyed it

PLEASE let me know your thoughts on this and how it went- in this thread, below this post.

Goodnight!

----------------------------

Thought this would be a fun way to do this, instead of using the flashchat- that way guys don't miss it if they don't log into the chat, guys who show up late can get caught up, and you guys could do from your iPhones. :)

AMA stands for

Ask Me Anything

So go for it, ask me anything you want, about any topic you want.

If you are responding to something I (or someone else) posted, just make sure to QUOTE them so it is easy for everyone to follow- as I will.

How do you quote, by clicking the word QUOTE at the upper right of the post your are quoting.
Once you want to check and see if this thread has been updated, just hit refresh in your browser (the REFRESH button usually in the upper left of Chrome/ Firefox/ IE/ Safari- etc, or the shortcut on your keyboard (crntl r I think on a PC and cmmand R on Mac). Lastly you can also click SUBSCRIBE at the bottom of this page to subscribe to the thread. So you get emailed when there is a new post since the last time you visited it.

Easy pezy!

Planning on hanging out for an hour or 2 depending on how this goes.

So ASK AWAY!

:D

Hey B,

I’ve been looking at the Daniel Defense rifles and realized that there are different rounds that can go in them (5.56, 6.8, and 300 blackout). Is there a DD rifle you prefer? What gas system would you recommend I operate – Carbine or mid-gas? I’ve heard there is less recoil in mid-gas, but can they also hinder wear on the extractor? Is there less stopping power in mid gas systems?

This might open a door, but what’s your take on the optimal round size (for sport distance, and home defense)? Also, what barrel length do you prefer?

Thanks. Ice

Hey B,

My 2nd question is re: knife training. My fb and I got our knives and are looking to get a couple training knives and practice the 5 system you taught us in PX reunion.

Can you share the 9 with us - or where we can find it? Thanks if you could. Ice

Bravo,

thanks for taking the time to do this. I think i can speak for others when i say it means a lot.

I have a sticking point with qualifying statements. I understand its a matter of getting the girl to work or show why I should be attracted to her, but I'm having a tough time naturally bringing them up in a congruent way? Any advice and examples would be appreciated.

awesome that a AR15 question is the first one here!

OK- round selection

6.8 was suppose to be the cool hot shit round that was developed a few years ago and replace the 5.56 round because the AK round (7.62 x 39) was able to travel further and penetrate deeper

As far as I know it never took off or anyone went to it

300 Blackout looks pretty cool- and think the extra cool thing about it is that with a suppressor it also doesnt have any muzzle flash- but absolutely no 1st hand exp with (or with 6.8)

So when I was getting my tac gear squared away recently and could have bought any of those...I went with a 5.56 (which can also shoot .223 but a .223 can't shoot 5.56- similar to a .357 revolver being able to shoot .38 but not vice versa)

I did so because just like my hand gun I went with a easier to get round- 9mm.

But this was before the ammo shortage...but I am already seeing 556 on ammo to go and back in stores so it will be much easier to get and less exp. as well

also accessories for a standard AR are easier and cheaper as well- so again that made the choice easy.- esp. mags

DD- I like the basic carbine and make it as fancy as you want- I REALLY dug the Magpul Colt because once you add a light and a red dot= good to go!

Mid-length...I heard about them from Bravo Company, and get what they are saying...but I am happy with the carbine because again- all of those pieces and lengths of tube are going to be easier to find and cheaper, and so far not sold on the idea that it is SMOOTHER to shoot (but Pat who is their guy seems to dig them...so that counts)

round size

target stuff I have 55gr, personal defense I got heavier like 62-69 gr

just make sure your barrel twist can handle the heavier stuff, and I dig as short as i can go- 16"

Bravo,

Another sticking point I've been having is with getting sexual in field and on day 2s in a natural way. Although I've had some in field make outs, I kind of just end up there, and dont really have a routine/stack that leads to getting sexual.

Also, my day2s have been weak when it comes to this as well. Although I've brought up questions about past sexual experiences which have went well, I'm having a hard time bridging the gap when it comes to the kino and sexual innuendos that leads to make outs and sex. I know some of has been logistics (sitting across from each other) which I am fixing, but overall I don't really have a good method for turning up sexual tension and then capitalizing on it. Any advice here would be very helpful as well.

Thanks, Saber

Any general tips on D2's involving going shooting?

Mentioning shotguns and skeet shooting generally lights up their eyes, and I'm getting a clay thrower later this week.

Will be going out on some land instead of a range, and have a wing or two interested if we want to bring a few girls out. Also, thinking of how to use my camera for badass pics while we are out shooting.

So....any suggestions of any do's and don'ts, or just general tips for D2's where we go shooting?

PS....I've got another question for later while we have this opportunity :)

different systems have different patterns

the 9 cut system was Sayoc Kali- 3 of 9

if you do some google searching you can find out more

BUT I would HIGHLY recommend finding someone who teaches KALI near you and do some classes or a few privates

You can follow up later with links for feedback, but right now I would say ANY filipino knife system that is close to you would be my first choice

:)
