I had been slacking

I was over 2 months behind on Gold Names- and keeping them up to date with payment


I do this all manually, and the email addresses many of you use, don't match the forum one you have


some take me up to 15 mins of cross referencing and searching to figure out, then add a user name change and I am fucked!


I thought I could have a programmer make it auto run, but with the set up I have now- can't.


I also hate reminding guys about, and then removing.

Then the guys who are here have to re-donate, then I have to set back up.


SO- I am thinking about a 1 time FLAT fee for everyone


that way it helps with the GREATLY increased costs I have to run this site (and keep awesome and ad free)- and that way neither of us have to deal with renewals


a recent thread has also got me thinking about having a special GOLD section just for GOLD NAMERS which will be 100% private (cant even see it unless you have a gold name- like the Online Game section)

any other ideas to make it a sweet deal for you guys?

and one of the main reasons why I havent done a GOLD members only section, is because with renewals each year, all of the sudden you wont have access, and I would have to be WAY more on top of dates


going to look into more options on forum that I can tweak as well

and before anyone posts- the more and more I think about this

a GOLD member section that is just for GOLDS (and a general sub-forum so you can post what ever you want -kind of like the tapout forum is for the OG guys here)


and making a 1 time flat fee- which if it ever goes up, guys are locked in at when they buy it, and it lasts for life- might be best idea I can come up with

You could do both, a Gold membership and a lifetime membership with access to a Elite form.

With the Gold membership you get the Gold name and all the benefits currently enjoyed by us cool fuckers. I would increase this price to 30-40 bucks though. Gotta keep it realistic but high enough to cut your operating costs some.

With Elite status you could change the color of Gold to something else. Pink with purple polka dots would be nice. Elite status gets you lifetime membership with a Pink and Purple Polka Dotted name AND access to the Elite forum.

In addition, a cracker could chose to be both, pay for Gold status yearly and keep his lifetime Elite status. This would be yet another colored name.

Finally, if a user recruits a new guy, and the new guys buys some product of yours, the user gets $10 off Gold or Elite status.

How am I going to do all this, you ask. I'm too busy fighting and fucking!! Whiz Kid, I don't have the time for all of your amazing ideas!!

Take a breath Bravo, I have a solution for that too.

Pick a few qualified guys on here you know and trust. Have THEM run this logistics crap for a year, in return you give them lifetime Elite status. The following year you pick a new cracker.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to fight through a blizzard to pound out my elite girl.

2. many guys who volunteer for things like that- end up being flakes and undependable

thats why I still do EVERYTHING around here- would rather make sure it is done right for all of us, even if more work for me

but know I will get to the point where I need helpers...

too many sub forums water down the entire place- and if guys start posting mostly in a Elite section, than the Pick Up section here will suffer

thats why I think a general- 100% private section for whatever we want (nudes, inappropriate jokes, and anything guys want on lock down) would fit

Yeah, I know that but this site should be self sufficient for you. No reason for you to pull profits from one of your separate enterprises and dump it here. I'm not saying you want to get rich from this site but it should pay for itself.

Also, I agree that ANY private section would become a meeting place for the guys and the Pick-Up section would be penalized because of it. The only solution I have is that it's a 'Invite Only' sub-section. Frankly, not sure that would work either.

This. I feel like a product should have a purpose first - and a price later. If you put something out with the idea to make money - well, it might work and it might not.

BUT, if you choose to do something because you want to, and do it because you love it and make it awesome - then money will pour in. But you already know that, I.E. the successes you've seen here.

Making gold a flat rate is a good idea I think, and lifetime WILL cut down on your maintenance issues, HOWEVER, unless member joining ramps up, and guys choose to give back and contribute - then it is in fact a one time fee, and thus COULD eventually start costing you money.

However, luckily server hosting isn't terribly expensive.

Private sections are a double edged sword. If it's an invite only cool kids club - that can be offputting to potential customers who might feel like the good shit is all hidden away from them. One of the greatest things about this site is the fact it's chocked full of great information that's easily accessable, and there aren't many "secrets". I know you don't want it to feel like the place that shall remain unnamed with a product list longer than an AFC dry spell, so I'll assume your main motivation is easy of use.

The idea of a "perk" for getting gold, is an interesting one. We all donated as a thanks, because well, we feel as if there is plenty of value for free to justify the donation. However, I can see increasing the price point further, and maybe giving something to them + the gold name might drive more people to buy it.

I have no idea what that might be, or what might work for you which wouldn't involve a ton of hassle.

Maybe a free 2-3 questions answered via email from you would be an interesting idea. Make the guidelines short and specific, to keep yourself from going over (like you ALWAYS do on the calls), the personal interaction would add a certain coolness to it as well.

I could see paying UP TO 100 for lifetime, but I think a lot of people would be more along the lines of 50$.
