I am going to UFC 154 , I know lots of guys here are UFC fans so I was wondering who has gone to an event ?

I haven't been to a UFC live so I was wondering what to expect , I have pretty decent seats. Section 106 row N. I'm not on the floor but not in the nose bleeds either.

It should be a good time , it's going to be insane when GSP comes out. I hope the fights are exciting , not the greatest card but some solid fights on paper. Apparently Anderson will be ringside and is expected to challenge GSP if he beats Condit.

Also going and been to UFC before and seen a lot of live shows. For me UFC live is not about having the greatest seats but being there for the event and the energy. I am going with a couple of friends and know others in the crowd and believe me we are gonna have a blast.

You can always watch the fight on the big screen. Honestly you get a better view on PPV even if you are ringside at the event. I talked to GSP the other day and I'm pretty sure it's gonna go well. If you want an after party, go to Pat Cote's one as GSP isn't planning one.

However, if you are not hooked right now, a really good live event can do it for you and that's how I got into it 10 years ago or so... but I can say that it's not the same thing as it was and will never be.

You should learn about the guys fighting( check some videos of them and also the fight finder on sherdog, know the weight classes and records, etc).

Guys you should root for:

GSP
Nick Ring(Alberta awesome at MT and great grappler as well)
Mark Hominick(Ontario, was with Tompkins kickboxer)
Patrick Cote(Judo and Boxing but now more well rounded in BJJ and wrestling with all the time he spent in the gym)
Mark Bocek (Hi level BJJ black belt)
Cyrille diabate( Old school Stand up guy )
Sam stout ( hominicks teammate) vs John Makdessi ( Representing Montreal and Tristar) root for Makdessi ;)
Antonio Carvalho(Ontario BJJ guy)
IVAN MENJIVAR (From Montreal and one of the most exciting fighters ever!) Do not miss his fight. He's from the old school days of MMA in Montreal.
