Late to the Party but internet gold.
This is by far the best internet gold I have ever come across and I haven't even finished reading it.
PURE. INTERNET. GOLD.
I am late to the party though as the post is 2 years old. That said it is still active today and has 1.3 MILLION views. I hate to say epic. But that is fucking epic.

I am only on page 154. Some seriously funny shit on there. Don't read if you plan on doing anything in the next week.

I didn't go to the link, but Google Docs has (or had) some good free Muay Thai books.
I recommend Muay Thai before Mixed Martial Arts.
MMA is a catch all term for different styles. If you are interested in learning how to fight, then try Muay Thai first. It will build up the Cardio for Boxing. Then go into Jui-Jitsu. Jui-Jitsu is the toughest but if you take a hands on intuitive approach instead of a structured approach then you'll get it.

Hey King of Aces, nice to meet you. I wouldn't write Techfall or MMA are either weak. From his screen name, he probably is busy and does not have the time to join a fight gym.
I like the online option and I agree MMA is not the way to go.
However, most mainstream gyms have Muay Thai classes in the evening--late in the evening--to start off. I like Muay Thai because it is the most effective and takes the least amount of time to learn.
I play poker but not too often as it takes a toll on my pocket book. However, I support the social aspect of poker and find it a good way to talk with other men and women.
You would be surprised how many have a good story to tell.

I apologize, I did not mean to come across as demeaning.Techfall wrote:Henry.Faith wrote:I didn't go to the link, but Google Docs has (or had) some good free Muay Thai books.

Wrestling is a good way to go for ground game. However, most fights end before someone gets to the ground. If you find yourself on the ground though, the best is always a guillotine.
Wrestling has a lot to add to a fight. Sprawling if someone lunges at you is one but again there has to be the room for that. Even if someone lunges, Muay Thai takes care of that--a good knee to the head or body area will always work.
I apologize I am here to help

I know nothing of the people that I speak about and seem like an arrogant ass. I have jacked this thread about an epic thread some where else.
I have also annoyed Techfall and will become one of his memes when he has the time since his screen name means that he is too busy to learn how to fight or go to a gym.
By the way I am new and I am already giving out advice. Did I mention I seem like an ass already?
Please don't make fun of Techfall, he can't handle it when you speak ill of him on the interwebs. He needs his ego built up and not destroyed. Why can't we all be friends????

Hey Tech, I'm new to this site but I did not write the above.
I see there is a fight section on this board, unique--I like it. I can give lessons on message boards so maybe I will start a Muay Thai thread there.

I am at a bar. You are learing at my lady and I confront you. You put your fingers to my chest and I push it away. I make a menacing move such as faking a punch:
What do you do next?
Maybe I can correct your form. I'm going to start a new thread about relating to other men.
