I've put in my application for my gun license. Will get it soon.

Was thinking handguns and will get them eventually, but ever since I shot the AR-15 with Bravo at PX2, the first gun I am looking at is either a M4, M-16, or AR-15.

My first thought was M4 or M16, but I saw the thread about the AR-15 being good too.

I'm thinking about Fame when I ask this question because of your military experience and being experienced in both.

What would you choose and why?

m16 is a full auto ar15

a m4 is a flat top and collapsable stock ar15

you might not have a choice there, but I would pick an M4

You probably won't be able to get an m16. The m4 is lighter and shorter barrel than ar

Unless you want to spend $15,000.00 for a M16 registered receiver, join the military, or a police department, an AR15 is a better deal.

I would get the civilian model of the HK 416, The MR556A1. That's just me, it's starting to hit the front lines. Most of my experience is behind the M16A4 and the M249 LMG, but Marines are starting to get the HK416 which was originally being used by Special Forces. Heckler and Koch make solid weapons anyway, but it can run a bit pricey: $3,295

Just get an AR15/M4 if you can't afford the H&K
