So after conversation with our local fashionista and style consultant NSM, I went out and bought a couple pairs of white shoes.
It's hard to believe how many times I've been complimented. Erring on the side of caution, I would say 1 out of every 3 girls I talk to compliment the shoes.
It's funny becuase guys laugh and make fun of them. Women love them. The compliments range from hot to saying it's awesome I have the balls to wear them.
If you don't own a pair, go out and spend the $70 and add it to your collection.
Here's the pair I bought from Journeys.

I wear white shoes all the time and the compliments are great. Guys will sometimes give you shit but like Shotz said, the ladies love them.

The key is to keep them CLEAN. Spotless. If they look dirty, it's a perceived reflection of your own grooming habits: if you can't clean your shoes, what else is there that you don't clean?
I have a pair of black & white Converse All-Stars. I keep them SPOTLESS and wipe them down every time before I go out. Compared to other guys who wear the same shoe, mine stands out because they look clean and new, not grungy and worn out.

Yeah, I clean them every time I wear them. I need to get some white shoe polish to keep the, looking fresh.

I find that after a while it just gets impossible to keep those bad boys super white by just cleaning them. I'll have to look into white polish.

My good friend got a pair from his old lady.
Same exact one you show, he's the only person in this town that I know of that has them.
I think they look good with all black and White belt, he gets complements all the time also from girls. Only problem with them is you have to clean them after every use which is annoying but a moist towelette will do the job except for the edges then some sort of shoe alcohol works.
