tanning

so as the resident member of the forum who actually lives at the jersey shore, i feel it's my duty to discuss one of the three concepts contained in the GTL. the T. tanning.
why is this important? because i've seen a lot of pasty ass guys lately, and i'm even talking about guys from the forum who i've seen pics of on facebook and things like that. there is a reason that people strive to be tan. because everyone looks better when they are tan. and of course in new jersey, we've perfected the art, so here are some things to consider...
first, it is NOT gay for a man to go tanning. i used to think it was. then i had some girls convince me to try it out. and after i started tanning, it made me look so much more attractive. in my mind, and from the comments and compliments that i got from others.
use a stand up bed as opposed to lay down one. they provide more coverage.
tanning beds are rated in strength by levels. the lower the level, the weaker the bed. a level one tanning bed is very weak. go with a level five. very strong. you want the maximum exposure possible in the least amount of time.
if you've never tanned before, you need to start with only a few minutes. your first couple trips to a level five bed should be for no more than five minutes each time. they actually max out level five's at ten minutes. even though i tan all the time, they don't even allow me to go for more than ten minutes.
do not spray tan. it doesn't look natural. you will look like jersey shore cast if you do this. some people think of tanning and imagine that people turn orange and all that. if you tan properly, you will not have this happen. so stay away from spray tan.
use a tanning lotion. no, not sunblock that you wear to the beach. tanning places sell lotion. you need to buy some and use it while in the tanning bed. you lose the first 2 minutes of your tanning session without an accelerant lotion. avoid a lotion with bronzers, unless they are "natural bronzers". a bronzer basically is something that darken your skin. it will streak if you don't apply the lotion properly, and they definitely have that fake and bake orange looking type of feel. and you're not tanning to "paint" yourself. you're tanning to have the light naturally color your skin.
so, i just thought this was a post that could provide some good tips. go tanning. you'll look better. 3x a week for about 3 weeks will provide you a nice base tan, then just once or twice a week will keep it looking good. of course, going out to the beach and laying out is the best way to get tan, but tanning is a great option as well.
