so i switched from gel to wax for spiking my hair, at the recommendation of my hair stylist, and i love it. my hair is a little bit thin, and putting gel in it made it clump together and actually look thinner than it actually is, but i like the spiked up style so i stuck with it. after my hair girl used wax on me and recommended it, i started and its great. it holds your hair perfectly, but doesnt dry up and glue to your head. it gives it a more natural look, almost looking like you dont actually have anything in it. looks better, feels better. try it out.

the brand i'm using is AXE CHARGED SPIKE UP LOOK PUTTY.

I've been using Spiker, it comes in a ice blue tube like thing. it holds like it's no ones buisness...you have to wash the shit outta your hair to get it out, but I'm gonna try the axe charged spike up look putty though now!

Get on wax, it shits all over gel.

Try lotion as a gel replacement. It holds almost as good but it's delicious scent remains all day. I get complimented all the time on how my hair smells.

Also promalde has great hold. I think it's another type of wax. It has a more natural look vs the gel hold look.

I defeintly prefer the wax. Gel makes my hair look greasy and stiff.

Aveda makes some great hair wax which I recommend.

I actually tried the Axe hair stuff before. Wasn't a big fan of it.

Gel makes your hair look greesey, I used to use hairspray. That kind of makes things too rock solid. Wax is the way forward, looking natural.

I don't use shampoo or conditioner. Only once every 6 weeks when I get my hair cut.

No need to put false products in your hair, just let 2M years of evolution happen. My hair has never been better.
