________I have noticed for a while that there is no indent function, or center function. I think it would help readability if these were added. This way titles or header, splitting two parts of a story can be done more aesthetically. And the indent function really helps at least me scan posts faster, also more aesthetic.

some of those type things can be added, as ad-ons to the forum

others, since they arent in the code, cant

unless I higher a programmer and pay him $$ an hour to do, or to help me install plug ins

and since the forum is free, things like that are waaaaaaay at the bottom of the list

if I upgraded to Vbulletin they might be in there, but that costs some $$ and think their are yearly fees for license too

which I thought about upgrading, but guys would have to chip in for, and dont think that is a smart choice right now...


but always open to ideas, suggestions, help

By chance are any of those add-ons free

Google and help me find out.

My time is pretty valuable, and so is the work to instal anything

BBCode Usage: [indent]{TEXT}[/indent]

HTML Replacement: <div style="margin-left: 3em;"> {TEXT} </div>

Help line: [indent]Your text here[/indent]


Discloser: This was confirmed by a long term poster from phpBB, possibly wrong, but it looks legit to me based on watching tutorial vids on YouTube.

Just getting the Flashchat working again is taking weeks and already spent 12 hours on. Still not working!

This is suppose to work where ever BBCodes are accepted, no exceptions.

If you have an option at the bottom of the page(assuming you are administrator)



And you also have a page that looks mildly like this...... I saw several variations of phpBB forums, all had same set of options in different looks.



Then you would click


And finally add the code I mention. Should show up here.



If that doesn't work, then delete it, the option should be on the same line as the list of BBCodes are on. Other than that unless I create a site myself I don't know how else to check.

This was an interesting experience seeing what it takes to make a website/forum. Given this one little thing took many hours spread out, I can see how running the whole thing would become a full time job.
