good stuff.

I think I like your current hair style and beard with all of that- you have a young face so you look like you are about 25.

but I don't think trying to change it up a little is ever bad.

currently I'm sporting the don draper hair cut- at first I hated it but went with it for a couple weeks and love it now. point being that I think it is good to try new things.

jeans fit well.

the button up shirt is awesome!

also those shoes are sick (good way) would wear them everywhere.

think black boots would be a solid play as well but I love the shoes.
-------

the shirts are fine I like them but they don't stand out.

HENLEYS.

always a solid shirt. comfortable and look nice.

try some black jeans.

white pants.

blue pants

grey pants etc.

more stand out.

looks better so far.

Awesome, I'm glad you guys think it's an improvement.

Kid Brock, I grew the beard back while my hair was still short and the type of girl I like wasn't all that interested (but more than clean shaven). I'm going to try to grow the hair out a bit and see what happens. I'm probably going to have to go shaved head and goatee when my balding progresses too far.

As for accessories, the only thing I wear is a watch. I was thinking of picking up a unique ring or something from this site
http://www.vitalydesign.com/
but I'm not sure if it would be too flash/tacky/over-the-top. I'm thinking eventually picking up a fat gold ring with my initials on top (a tradition for men in my old country), similar to this
http://www.vitalydesign.com/collections ... urd-x-gold
but actual gold with embossed initials.

Any suggestions on good accessories?

SD, T-shirts are a bit tricky for me right now. I'm a skinny bodytype and not that fit, so how the shirt fits is my bottleneck. I'm started lifting weights again and I'm on a paleo diet, so hopefully I can put on 10 pounds of muscle, and clothes will fit a lot better. Gonna do some more shopping when I get fitter.

As for pants that aren't jeans, the people in my city don't seem to do it much, although when I've travelled to other cities, it seems more common. Here, it feels like jeans-only (we are the Texas of Canada  )

What is the pants status in the city you live in? Do the 20-somethings wear chinos, white pants, banana republic clothes out to the bars?

I knew RW&Co made good jackets, but I didn't know about T-shirts. I'll check it out. Thanks.

I will be posting pics of what I wear out. It's different- colored pants, henleys and funny shirts are my main thing. Also I have around 20 pairs of shoes to match outfits.

I wore slip on shoes tonight and got more compliments than ever. They cost me $20.

Metro sexual is a step above preppy. Get the dolled up ones coming home with you.

Before I take time to take pics and post them, I want a confirmation that you will at the least go in and try the stuff on in a store and post pics of what you look like. I think you could pull off the European metro sexual style very well.

Texas of Canada= Michigan of USA ;) no way you guys are wearing cowboy boots and cowboy hats.

Also I looked around the bar tonight- my goal is to not wear what everyone else was wearing.

I wasn't. I had slip on shoes from aldo, tight smaller shorts and a Henley on. Simple yet something Bradley cooper would wear on the regular.

Wow, thanks for taking the time to work on this with me SD, really appreciate it.

Yeah, that Euro style is something I'm definitely comfortable with. So long as it's not too "out there" and feminine, I've had a couple of those incidents in the past . These days, when I try to stand out I err on the side of hyper-masculine. Yeah, let's try it out. I'll try the stuff on, take some pictures, and the stuff I think is working for me, I'll buy it and start wearing it... I'm totally fine with standing out and getting the attention.

Oh, and as for the cowboy boots and hats... we have the Calgary stampede here, a week where everyone wears exactly that. I know people (farm boys) that wear cowboy boots all year, noone even blinks lol.

Hey, no worries brotha. I figured you had a lot going on.

Besides, I am the last person that should be complaining, given how long it took me to do an update

I'd be careful with overly preppy or "Euro" looks. Unless your goal is attracting gay dudes. Canada is pretty conservative as far a fashion goes. I've definitely gotten mistaken for being gay for dressing well in the past. I Learned from that. Still happens occasionally, but I don't give a shit. Definitely run your outfit past a girl or two for feedback. They enjoy manly men.

At a minimum Avoid man bags, skinny pants/sgorts and colored jeans.

Often simple stuff works. I've gotten complements on just well fitting t-shirts with a cool design. Dito on a fitted leather jacket.

Coco Roch, the supermodel once made a really great point about dressing. Take off the last accessory you put on. You might think you're being "original" but you'll save yourself the embarrassment of looking gaudy or overdone.
Who dares wins.
