Example, I was about to tell him and the guys a story and opened up with "Well, I don't think this is that great a DHV story, but you guys can tell me what you think...."

Little did I see how often I slammed myself when presenting something/anything in life. I was doing this sort of thing all the time.

Just saying keep in mind from the girls POV she most likely hasn't seen the trick you're doing. While it may be simple or even boring to you. You can sell it to her as being difficult and amazing.

Very good points Methos. I know I do that sometimes(underselling/shitting on myself), gotta kick that bad habit out.

Also I want to point out one more thing you mentioned about a girl most likely never seeing the trick. This is very true, but not just for women, but the general public. There are only about 100,000 registered(and regularly performing) professional magicians in the world(it was 50,000 a few years ago). 100,000 out of 8 billion people in the world is a very small percentage, like .0001 of the population. The chances of a person experiencing street magic(or any form of magic) is literally tiny and almost non-existent. Hell you literally have a better chance of winning the lottery than being performed by a magician(pretty crazy!).

this is so true.I made a new facebook, deleted my old one, posted this vid on my new one..so many people have been adding me to watch the vid ,it was weird at first lol

i live in a small town tho so word spreads quick when something new is in town

I have used loops before, I say stay away. They are very sensitive and break easily. Gets costly after awhile. Don't get me wrong, it's cool to use, but it's not worth the investment to practice the tensile strength of the loops. You only get 5 for $10, not including shipping and you go through them fast. Money adds up after awhile.

You can make your own, but that's very time consuming as well(took me at least 30 minutes to make one properly, only for it to last a few minutes before breaking).

There's two variations of that trick. One requires loops and one doesn't. I don't know how to do the one without though.
