There is no set time, it really depends on the situation. Some girls are easy to talk to and can make a connection quite quickly; others aren't immediately attracted to you and may need to go on a few dates with you; others are downright not attracted. For the most part, daygame is like a numbers game; the more you're out doing it, the more experienced and calibrated you become. Best bet: instead of having to worry about how long, just get out there, talk to girls, collect numbers like you're already doing well at. The more you do it, the better calibrated you become, and those numbers gradually become less flakey and more into you.
