Question about SLA.

I signed up for SLA, kind of regret it now. I was more interested in watching some of the videos but apparently that's not for months down the line and to be honest inner game isn't my problem.

IF you have problems with inner game and a poor self image there's some good missions, but nothing you couldn't get if you bought Neil's Rules of the Game or seeing a shrink. To me I wanted to get advice from the coaches and others who had more experience than I do. It seems like a ghost town in there filled with guys who are new to the game. Me and a friend of ours were talking about that about another forum for PUAs in L.A. and it had turned into the same thing. We all have our own goals and I'd love to be at the same level as coaches like Bravo or Topher or Evolve. All the coaches reports are awesome but it's been a LONG time since anyone posted anything new. First sign of trouble.

I really do hope this is the beginning of another Mystery Lounge. This is the closest thing to a brotherhood, a fraternity of men trying to better ourselves. I'm glad to be a part of building something new.

i was a member of the SLA public forums for a few years, but never on the elite, so my opinion is just what it is. i chose not to sign up because i'm more of a self learner, i was a huge neil strauss fan, and i did ROTF about 30 times. seriously. everyday that i had a new challenge, i would not only do that, but i would do pretty much ALL of the previous challenges that were possible. so that helped me get good at those skills and continue to move on. i read some others books on my own, but the key is that i was out working and practicing every day. at clubs, bars, target, walmart, bookstores (for some reason, i had a thing for appoaching women for challenge missions in barnes n noble). i didn't not join because of the money, i have a good job. but even though i know its better to learn right at first, then to learn wrong and then correct, i was a big fan of style after reading his books, and i gotta admit, i was pretty disappointed that he was MIA on the forum. so it gave me doubts and i decided to just learn on my own and ask questions on SLA public forum, which had a 40% chance of being answered by something that actually knew their shit. i've heard some cool things about it, and i'd love to do those challenge missions, even to this day, but at this point, i'm beyond that. i didn't know of bravo when i joined SLA, i only knew of style and the people in the game. but i'm glad i met bravo through there. and i'm glad i've had personal coaching calls with him. i would say that is definitely worth it. again, i never subscribed to SLA, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but i would much rather have one on one personal phone coaching with the guy who ran SLA, then to subsribe to be a part of an "elite" SLA, which may or may not be so elite anymore.

i dont work for bravo, not giving him a commercial, but bravo WAS stylelife for a few years. and now he's BRAVOPUA.COM. without any extra nonsense. so, if you're looking to invest some money, try a coaching call with bravo BEFORE you join the SLA elite. i'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed...

SLA was a bargain when Bravo, TheSneak, Evole, Don Diego, Gypsy, et al were coaches and holding numerous flash chats throughout the week, taking time to answer posts, etc. You got way more in return than you would put in financially or time wise. Just an hour flashchat in a week with anyone of those guys was worth $20 per week.

Now that they are not coaches anymore, it's not really a bargain. It might be worth $80 a month if you do the missions. Maybe. If you are able to make my Friday morning flashchats at 6 a.m. Pacific time, and do the missions, it is probably a reasonable value. But my flashchats are not at the level of Bravo or one of the other real coaches--especially when it comes to pick up (If you show up and get me to give you free legal advice, it's worth it for sure, however). Hell, I've been in an exclusive relationship for two years.

Don't join SLA. You won't get the value you're looking for anymore. It was once pretty awesome. Now not so much.

Im still on the SLA giving forums however I say its no longer worth it once Bravo left, hence me being here

Coming late to this thread (been offline for two weeks - had a girl visiting from NYC so I know you guys will understand ) I just recently terminated my SLA membership after a couple of years. I really didn't see the point in dropping a grand a year to read a couple of new posts a day from some newbies. There is definite value in the old material, and so joining for a couple of months and hoovering up as much of that as you can read may be worth while, but beyond that, I don't think so. As others have said before me, the names who provided the real knowledge on that site are largely gone (and many of them are here, at the competitive price of nil!).

When I rang the SLA customer service line the recording directed individuals who wanted to quit SLA to a specific webpage set up for that purpose. If you're losing customers so quickly that your customer service staff can't (or won't) get involved, it is not a good sign...

Former Coach Evolve posted a new post on the SLA Elite forum the other day.

In the spot that identifies who you are; for example, "student" "coach" etc., it now says "Some Guy".

Bravo is "Master PUA" (no longer Executive Coach).

Topher is "BAMF"

Bolshevik is still "jr. coach"

Drewder is "Moderator / Pick Up Labs Author"

TommyD, who hasn't been active for years, is still a "Senior Coach".

Monte Christo is a "student".

JGatz is "Director of Operations"

I know it is an old prep-school type term, but I always thought "Head Master" sounds gay.

Style is nevertheless still "Style-Academy Headmaster"
