5mins of RGU, finding these easy now in terms of strength. Hurts my wrist a little so may need to find some padding. Need to up the first part of my game because I want to progress onto stage 2!
Will be weighing myself later this week/early next week, looking forward to it!

So I worked out last Wednesday and did 2x20 halo and 3x20 Kett swings today. No exercise in between as have been feeling a little ill. Nothing major just kinda sick, no appetite and barely eaten anything substantial. So annoying as I'm certain I'd gained something
Just weighed myself and because of this past week I've actually lost 2lbs overall. Fuckety fuck. Body fat measurement didn't work so not sure what that is this month.
Oh well. Sure I'll be back to full power and put it back on soon!

Have you heard of the milk diet? Basically you drink a shut load of it, possibly six pints a day, on top of your normal diet. Apparently it is good for people looking to bulk up.

Thanks Bach
I remember following this when I first read 'The Four Hour Body' a few years ago, I found that by drinking a lot of milk made me feel pretty sick and put me off food for a while. Looking back at it maybe I went too hard too fast and need to give my body time to adjust
I'll look into it again

So I haven't posted my progress for a while, I haven't quit, but have been struggling with my health a little. Nothing major at all just a constant feeling of exhaustion and prioritising things that I have to do.
Working towards my future career goal is taking up a lot of my time and focus, and I often find it hard to switch off and relax. Think I've come fairly close to burnout. I'm working on it but right now I feel fucked

Hate people to think I'm slacking here, so quick update necessary -
Still have swollen lymph nodes in cheeks/side of neck. Been to docs and he thinks they'll go down and to go back if not...personally I think I've been working so hard lately I came pretty close to burnout.
Also I noticed some slight tingling in my legs after some kettlebell workouts, along with a little back pain and random neck twinges...had a free check up at chiropractors and I'm pretty fucking crooked. I actually carry 14lbs more weight on my left side without realising (extra pressure on left hip over time). He said I need x-Rays and nerve scans before we start adjustments. Problem is how much it's gonna cost...but I don't feel right working out properly until this is sorted, so I'll get this done asap...
Life challenges huh..

So had x rays and nerve scans done over a week ago and had a doctors report yesterday. I have 5 areas of concern, saw the x rays and I have some subluxation (misalignment) in my spine putting a LOT of pressure on nerves in neck. Nerve scans are colour coded green, blue and red depending on severity. In places I was in the black, which is 'off the chart'. Also plenty of red areas. Explains why I was stiff in neck and having tingling sensations in hands, arms and feet.
Had some adjustments today and yesterday and feeling better already. Doc is a really cool guy and drives home the point that a properly aligned spine which causes no nerve pressure is essential for optimum health.
It's pretty pricey but glad I caught this now as untreated would cause a lot more problems down the line

Have had 4-5 adjustments now and chiropractor is cool for me to train again. Joined the gym today and started with chest and triceps. I did have a period about 4 years ago of going to the gym around 4x a week so have a good base knowledge of what to do and build my own program
My science background also means I have a fairly solid nutritional education so it's going to be fun implementing this.
One thing me and gf do is make smoothies. Problem with them is people usually load with fruit and have no fibre, so you get a huge spike then crash. My recipe is usually something like:
Watercress
Spinach
Greek yoghurt
Porridge oats
Frozen fruit/berries
Beetroot
Banana
Water
Splash of apple juice
It's a great breakfast drink as I drive to work
Looked into omega 3 oil supplements but latest research is suggesting a link to high levels in blood raising risk of prostate cancer. I tend to eat fish a couple times a week (tuna and tins of mackerel at work) so gonna skip this
Think I may intro vit d3 supplement because England has such low sun levels, especially in winter
Also need to buy protein shakes but need a hold off a little because of finances
Good to get moving again!
