I used to hate blood. Somehow that changed last year when I had to gut and clean a deer. In the field, at -10C. No gloves. The trick is to stick your hands in deeper to warm them up. Now it doesn't bother me.
The same can't be said for needles. I passed on acupuncture the other day. Didn't matter the theripist was hot.
