and GOALS

#1 travel to two countries by end of 2014

going to US in Jan/Feb, and looking at Thailand in July

next step, have fun in January. and start saving for thailand trip when home.

#2 HD in my psych class

Ended with a credit, stuffed up the exam, had HD on everything else but the exam was worth 50%
still just off distinction so not bad, but looking at things that can help me improve for next semester (study groups/pal learning)

next step, work out classes for semester 1 2014, connect with other students in tutorials, also could try online i learn place, and go to PAL sessions if possible

#3 fashion and getting some more quality pieces

Haven't got anything big yet, but been constantly adding bits and pieces.

next step, boxing day go to mall and get some bargains. I have been holding out specifically for this, as full retail prices in this country are bullshit

#4 Changing industries

Have been waiting to find out what is going on with my licence first, now that is sorted I will be looking when I get back from US for some work in bars.

next step, I am going to enrol in another bar course when I get back in FEB, learn a bit and there are usually hot chicks in the class to hit on

#5 Gym

Being crushing it lately. have a sheet with my measurements/weight, plus what I have been doing everytime to track it, and been really going well. pretty much back to where I ws when I got lazy last time.

next step, work on a diet, and more refined workout plan

Moiser wrote:Hey guys,

I didn't participate with the coaching thread the first time around, but, I thought I would share my last post from my ongoing Mission Statement thread in the Lifestyle section. I've been working on this constantly for just over two years. It has become very personal to me, something that's evolved as I have evolved.

Looking forward to see what the other guys have.

Updated Mission Statement

I will not live forever, time is the most precious commodity I have.

I will live a life full of amazing experiences and I will be proactive in the pursuit of my dreams, always being true to myself.

I will continually push myself out of my comfort zone at every given opportunity, and, through my actions I will encourage and inspire others around me to do the same. I will make it a priority to offer value to the people I care about, complete strangers and the world in general, while actively seeking out and filling my life with things that I value.

Positive experiences are attracted to me, I will not live in fear of my own success, nor will I stop myself from achieving my full potential. I will continue to grow into a more social, confident and centered individual, a person with a substantial set of personal values, a mass of life experience and an acute sense of self, which I will base internally.

I will strive to continually improve myself by taking full advantage of the opportunities I have to grow and gain a better understanding of who I am.

I believe the best things in life are not free, they are earned. My goals will be paid for in the currency of countless trials, tribulations, effort and focused dedication. I will embrace the positive with open arms, yet, I will also take right action during darker times, and, whether the outcome of the decisions I make are good or bad, I will make the right choice on a moral and personal level the majority of the time.

I’m a wiser, stronger and more centered person today than I was yesterday. I'm a testament to the fact that life is an extraordinary thing and that the human species is capable of almost anything.

This is who I am.

Monteray wrote:This is the vision I came up with last time. I just added some stuff in red and changes

It is New Year ’s Eve 2014 tomorrow, I am at my new place in Neutral bay talking with my female flatmate about her plans for NYE. She is deciding on where she should go and with who. I plan on taking my favourite girl out with me tonight for dinner she is just shorter than me, black hair, and great body. She is the type of girl that swears as much as me, has the most vivid sexual imagination, is happy to talk about anything, plus she is comfortable in her own skin and has a good plan for her future.

My flatmates are awesome, and the people I have brought into my life recently have helped me move to the next level. I have no problem finding these people and bringing them into my world with the skills I have been learning for the last 18 months. My biggest problem right now is working out which girls are worthy of my time…

Most importantly is that I am now bringing value to my personal relationships and not just taking. I have also made an effort to get down to see my family and in particular my sisters who are both almost 18. This is the time they need their older brother to be there for them…

In a few months I fly out to the US, I’m going to vegas, new york, and Miami. I’m super excited to go to some places I have seen so much but never experienced. I’ve already been to Japan and Vietnam this year. Europe is next (Ibiza) ;) this has changed around but will go to asia at end of year and US at begining

Last week I had my final level 2 Spanish class and I am beginning to be able to put together sentences and people can actually understand me now. I have already booked the level 3 class and going to start and finish it before uni starts in March...

My Uni degree is going great I have completed about one third of my double degree, my grade average is up to a D and I’m aiming to hit HD average at the end. If I keep up this pace three units per semester I will finish in three more years… just under D average at the moment

Just got a new UV ink tattoo on my arm and some dermals to go with it, also added some great pieces to my wardrobe over the last year, a nice blazer, two leatherjackets, some really nice shirts, and quality denim jeans. I also bought two new suits one for weekend use at bars clubs, and one for the races. It has been getting used, I have attended over 6 meetings this year, this is my passion horse racing, and my horse has been doing well in Queensland winning some races which makes me happy.

I’m currently working in a nightclub cocktail bar, making awesome drinks for people. I work weekends but I don’t mind at the moment because I can use my time more effectively during the week and I need to spend time when everyone else is at work studying to keep my grades where I would like them.

It also gives me the chance to get a steady program going in the gym and I am back up to 95kgs (210 pounds) and I am very happy with my amount of body fat, not too low so I look like a dried fruit, but not enough to make me look chubby. My diet has improved, I have been a non-smoker for 18 months now, and I drink maybe once a fortnight but not too heavily. really going well with this at the moment

I just finished my phone counselling course, and will be doing one volunteer shift per fortnight with a call centre for counselling. I really look forward to helping people, people that need someone to talk to in their time of darkness. now either looking at this, or ABA therapy with kids with autism, plus have another option for drug and alcohol counselling but is volunteer one day a week so would need to be in a different job

You've made so much progress in solidfying your vision. Great job, and does the future you want seem more concrete?

-only small suggestion I would offer is to shorten your vision - if you can.

good to have goal like this, also - offer that you let yourself be open to people you look up to as well - the ones that motivate you, inspire

Monteray wrote:this was the values,

Success

Explanation:
I aim to set goals and have something to work towards, but I don’t see success as achieving my goals exactly how I envisioned them. I see success as enjoying the process and being content that I am learning from my experiences. So whether I fall short of or exceed these goals doesn’t matter because I have succeeded in improving along the way.

I would remove the negatives "but" "don't" "whether I fall or not"

Check out the book Failing Forward and see if anything surfaces for you/solidifies this value for you

Monteray wrote: Freedom

Explanation:
Not the fake freedom we are told we have today, one of my core beliefs is that there are too many rules in our society. Both rules of law enforced by the government, and social rules enforced by our peers. I understand that we need this system to live the way we do today, but I often get the feeling that I am locked away like a prisoner but told I am free. Hope that makes sense to everyone??

Remove the negative "not the fake freedom we are told today, one of my core beliefs is that there are too many rules in our society"

start from a place by what freedom means to you. What it looks like, how will you know you are free?

Monteray wrote: Knowledge

Explanation:
I value knowledge, both the knowledge learnt from others during schooling/Uni, knowledge learnt by you through trial and error, and knowledge you learn by observing other people. I am constantly learning, the moment I stop I will be dead.
learnt = learned

You decide this

just wondering if knowledge is best value word here

Or is it more about learning?

Now how would you live 2014 as if it was your last

and also - how do girls and relationships factor into 2014??

And consider what else will level up your life, you as a person, what aspects of you do you want to level up?

-- Monte, I'm proud of you. You've put so much work into this and come this far on what you want in your life. You have proven that you're serious about improving time after time. All the time that DJ, Bravo and I spent making this for you guys = worth it in my books. I'm looking forward to seeing you next year man.

Great job with the Positive Affirmations, but a few revisions are needed. Remember to phrase your affirmations in the PRESENT tense, so you train your mind to accept it as YOUR CURRENT REALITY NOW (even if it may not be). Therefore:
