Will join in on this. There is a pull up bar on the beach over the road from me, keep looking at it and thinking I should really be taking advantage of it.

Nice. Today is my rest day. Are you bringing a stool with you for descending part or going right into the sets/reps part?

no i'm just hopping on. When I lower myself arms fully stretched out, my knees almost touch the ground. Would be too cumbersome with stool there

So doing pull ups they way they recommend is much harder then shorter neutral grip!


Did some pull ups at end of GVT session, was already pretty exhausted after legs. Managed to do 2, 3, 3, 2. Going to start the programme in the 4-5 category

Started day 1 on the 0-4 pullups. Managed 2 pullups for sets 1-5 using the reccomended 2 minute break. Next is tomorrow off and right back at it.

Was chest and back day so I used my 10x10 lat pull downs as my training for today

3x10 @ 36kg then 7x10 @ 32kg
