2016 Was A Revolutionary Year

Post by Evolve »

As I sit here on 31st Dec 2016, I have reflected on the most revolutionary year of my life.

I appreciate and enjoy many priceless things in my life, such as health, great family and friends, mentors, a loving partner and a daily sense of becoming everything I can be. I know at a deep level that worldly objects are nice, but I can give everything up in an instant and know I will be more than ok. Time is the most valuable thing, how I spend it and with whom is how I value success in life.

I have gained 2st of muscle and have a very solid gym plan moving forward. My 6’3 frame is muscular and athletic, a perfect blend of strength and fitness. I have taken the time to apply my knowledge of nutrition to create a very solid diet with a full mix of macronutrients, vitamins and nutrients to ensure I am getting the optimum fuel my body and mind need to be at my best. I also realise food and drink are enjoyable aspects of life and although I have a great diet, I also consume some ‘bad’ foods that I enjoy on occasion. Included in this is my new knowledge of whiskeys, and my trip to Edinburgh in January meant I got to learn and appreciate whiskey from the experts.

I have taken small steps throughout the year to improve my style and fashion. These changes have manifested into a whole new wardrobe of perfectly fitted clothes. Both smart and casual. It hasn’t cost me that much, and a few items every month really make a huge difference. My grooming is impeccable and part of my daily routine, I spend a little extra on a decent haircut that really makes the difference and gets commented on frequently.

My posture is powerful yet relaxed. I carry a confidant smile in all situations. I have complete self respect. I now influence situations rather than them influencing me. I have achieved this through daily practice into creating powerfully assertive states that have now unconsciously incorporated themselves into my neurology. I am now a walking beacon of positivity, encouragement and enthusiasm. I have that intangible quality of inspiring people to become better than they are, without being judgemental in any way. I look for the best in people and in doing so, manifest the best in them. As my life is so powerfully focused and on track, people want to be part of my bubble. I offer an invitation to those that are able to meet my standards and values, showing respect and offering their own value. If people do not meet these criteria, I am polite yet assertive in explaining that I wish them no harm, but they are not welcome in my reality.

I finally feel I am aligned with my purpose and values, living my potential on a daily basis.

I realise that I am a deep introvert, I cater to this side of myself by spending enough time alone, reading, to recharge. I carried all this potential inside for too long. I have finally made explicit all the implicit qualities and talents I have been carrying around.

I believe we all have the divine spark within in us and our lifes work is to transform ourselves from potential to actualisation, to become our own god. I believe every soul judges itself, and I have a profoundly deep respect and contentment in my soul that I am everything I can be.

2016 has been a revolutionary year, and I will continue to inspire for the rest of my life.

Edinburgh was awesome!

Learned some cool things at the whisky experience and got a couple glasses to bring home as souvenirs. Have a deeper appreciation and am in the road to becoming a knowledgeable on different areas ie lowlands, highlands, speyside and islay.

Joined the gym today so now on the road to creating the body I want, but will post more on that in different thread

Gym is working out great. As I work a 4 on 4 off shift rotation I go all 4 days off. Nutrition is solid, today I came home from workout to a 40g protein shake, 3 eggs on wholemeal bread, lasagne with greens for dinner, fruit/veg smoothie, 2 toast w Nutella and a tin of mackerel later on this eve. Also got some Brazil nuts to add in

Have been working in developing powerful States to carry me powerfully into the world, influencing my environment rather it influencing me

Driving to work at 0530 a few days ago and a car was on its side after having crashed about 30 secs before. Was cool to be able to help and held the door open as the guy (completely unhurt) climbed out

Met up with a girl I closed about 4 years ago and had sex in my car. She's aware I have a gf but still wants me to be her Dom. After careful deliberation I turned her down because I don't have the time to focus on her and she also lives too far away

Been a while since I updated here -

Gym has been a little rocky. As an ectomorph this means I LOSE weight when I don't work out, and start from square one. But, have had a couple good weeks, diet is pretty good and I'm noticing small changes to my body. Let's hope this time I can keep healthy for a while and continue the gains. Been keeping track of my weekly workouts and beginning to increase weights.

After Bravo's awesome Periscope sessions I have been thinking over congruence. I was 100% congruent a few years ago and have made so many personal developments since then, but along the way forgot to keep in mind that who I am is fluid and ever changing. Being reminded of this I am now totally congruent to this NEW and IMPROVED version of myself, which brings a lot of inner contentment.

Thanks again Bravo.

Another thing I'm unhappy with is my overuse of my phone. Facebook, texting, Instagram, COMPLETE waste of time, and very rarely get anything out if it. So, new goal : no Facebook/IG for a month and keep texting to absolute minimum. I don't want to join the zombie generation that is obsessed with smartphones and can't be present to the moment.

My camping/survival bag is coming together well. I'm adding bits monthly and will post a pic of its progress when my mora knife comes in. Like everything, it's a process. 1/2 additions a month.

Fun stuff planned for summer, hiking one of the tallest mountains in UK, maybe some off road driving, camping and at least one charity walk lined up so far.

Financially I'm proud to say I paid off the last of the debt I accrued during college, which took longer than expected because gf earns less now, but I'm happy I found a balance between paying it off and still having a life. I now have a goal of saving up to buy a new MacBook. Putting some money aside each month for that.

Most paychecks now are split between rent/bills, a couple survival bag pieces, good haircut, maybe a piece of clothing, some to savings account and the rest on whatever I want.

Small improvements in every area each month

:)

Although I kinda like the piece I wrote at the start of this year, after talking to Bravo a while ago and making plans for this summer i've decided to break things down on this thread. So many things bouncing around in my head right now I wanted to get them down and be held accountable come September.

Daily

Spend 2 minutes working on posture, and focus on throughout the day
Spend 2 minutes a day practising smile in mirror
Spend 2 minutes practising success body posture (Amy Cuddy)
10 minutes meditation

Bug Out Bag

Get Mora knife (on route)

Water purification tabs
More protein bars
Lighter fuel for Zippo
Portable USB charging unit
Streamlight Protac 1l (birthday)

Summer Activites

Climb Snowden (June)
Attain BCU 1 star canoeing certification (9-10th July)
Mountain biking in Bedgebury Forest
At least one charity walk (25th June or 22nd July)
1 week camping (25th July)

Personal Development

Look for the good in everyone
Work more for community and not just myself
Give back as and where I can (1 hr a week on forum)
Help gf with Excel course (as of now)
Get to 78kg before end of summer (currently 74.1kg)
Read at least 2 books on my to-read list
Continue to work on style, attaining 1-2 pieces for wardrobe/month
Focus on being 100% congruent with new, improved version of myself
Aligning ever more with my inner values and living life on my terms

Financial

Have £1000 at end of summer (September), decide whether to spend out for a new MacBook or a cheaper laptop - £200 saved per paycheck

New macbook purchased

(Red = completed)
