Watches & Shoes

Post by PhoenixUK »

So I was watching a seminar video and the focus was Older men getting with younger women but to be honest, as they said, whole thing could apply to anyone improving game

The PUA was saying that women defo look for the watch you wear and shoes and if you (the older guy) and trying to demo value and/or wealth through your clothes this is important.

He wasnt saying buy eg a Tag watch per se but at least wear a watch that looks expensive/quality one and I guess same with shoes

I wondered thoughts on this and is there anything else clothes wise that women focus in on the most?

unrelated but is it true women always look (and then judge you) at teeth and at your nails and stuff when they first see you?

cheers :)

It depends on what you're trying portrait with your outfit. Dress shoes and a nice watch usually mean successful career.

I've experimented with watches, jewelry, and different styles. In my opinion the most important things for your style and in this order:
1-a good haircut/hair style
2- good looking shoes+belt to match
3- nice pants
4-tailored or fitted shirts
Then finally jewelry and accessories

sweetcheeks thanks for your input

'2- good looking shoes+belt to match'
I nearly always wear my top over my trousers so my belt isnt visible directly so never thought about the match until now...with jeans I where the long tie belts so the loose length of the belt is hanging, at the moment the ones I where are cream/white belt

'4-tailored or fitted shirts'
Even my AFC friends mention this but I hardly ever, day to day, where shirts, despite having a good V taper frame for them...I feel its not 'me' as such, im more what I consider casual and dont go with shirts

My friend always said that a tailored shirt would be good as I have the shape...

maybe I need to reconsider my stance on buying shirts

1 & 3 are solid points, even going from good haircut without styling cream/gel in to having it in...I think its looks a lot more attractive, like effort has been put in

...Ill be as bold as to say a DHV...that you are value enough that you care about your appearance

Then all your points really could be considered small DHV in my opinion

To the OP. If you buy a Tag Heuer and expect chicks to notice, you're going to be severally disappointed. And that's not to insult TH. While a nice watch and clothes are going to help, it's the appearance, not the value, in most cases. That being said, yes, some women (and all people) are going to notice that expensive suit or watch or item you're wearing. But not enough to justify the pricetag of these items for the sole purpose of picking up chicks.

I read up and looked at Sweetcheeks list: spot on.
You're happy facial expression and clean skin will attracted more than a suit.
My 2015 goals for fashion: teeth whitening, new haircut style, washing face more, trimmed finger nails, hitting the gym hardcore (3 months in and people noticed!) THEN shoes, suit by Combantant Gentlemen, some new v-necks, and finally my new watch I ordered off Amazon for $50.

MRniceguy: I find most G-shocks are too bulking for what I want. If it's a value for looks thing...outside of the brandname, it looks similar to a Casio watch from walmart. Even though I know it has superior functions and durability. But I mean, buy what you like, G-shocks are durable if you're active.

I have a G-Shock. I do a fair bit of mountain biking, hiking and camping in the summer and I just wanted a solid watch that was fairly cheap and would survive whatever I was up to. However mines probably one of the smallest they have, in black. About as understated as a G-Shock gets. This one looks extremely bulky and in white looks too flashy for my tastes. I can't really imagine a situation where this watch would be ok..

I love watches. Women not so much. Unless a chick is into watches the only brand that really gets much recognition is a Rolex. EVERYONE knows Rolex.

What they do notice is if A) It APPEARS nice B) Looks good.

The watch I've been rocking lately is the Orient Mako USA. Its a NICE watch with automatic movement. Automatic movement has that really cool sweeping second hand. I've gotten a ton of compliments on it.

This particular watch is $225. However if you search 'Orient Mako' you can find them for around $100 bucks online brand new.

lol! Completely different than what I thought you meant. Thanks for clarifying.

Watches, accessories, all that stuff - mean more when you have a story behind it - and can use it as a DHV

I wouldn't get something just because girls would recognize it. Good way to attract gd

Also some people get turned off by a guy that only gets brand name things

Look at what value you bring v. what stuff you wear

is where I'm at now
