Month 3+ Fashion and Presence

Post by MagneticVibe »

I'm on month 3 for the mastery vibe challenge where I'm supposed to make myself look more polarizing in compared to the usual guy.

I understand that my look is very basic and I could add a lot more. So, if you know any stores that sell slim shirts/clothes for a skinny build please tell me (Hopefully you guys knows places with decent pricing).

I stand at 5'7
I weigh 138 (Going for mass)
I wear contacts (I have brown eyes, getting hazel contacts)
No tattoos

In the photo I'm wearing clothes from Express
H&M slim fit low navy jeans
blue/white Adidas
A bike chain necklace

Things I know I can add to my wardrobe
-A white watch
-A studded belt (rockstar)
-More bright colored shirts
-Shoes that can give me more height
-Need a tie
-Dress shoes
-Grey Suit pants
-New shoes that stick out

Hey man

def would fix the shoes first, this would make a huge difference. Check this thread there's a good discussion there and some links, might give you some ideas.

even if you want to keep sneakers get some that are more plain style/same colours

Do you have any more dressy type shirts? and what about jackets etc?

I don't mind the white shirt, but I think it doesn't look its best when you are wearing it alone, maybe some kind of layering would make it look even better, i.e. under a unbuttoned dress shirt? then a jacket?

for me when wearing a t shirt by itself I like it too be as plain as I can, maybe with some pockets or buttons or whatever but not too much variation in colours/patterns.

mind you these are not hard and fast rules just some that suit me, others may see it differently, but would be good to see some discussion/other guys chime in to give you more ideas!!

I like the bicycle chain necklace idea. I'm going to see if I can manage to make one of those myself. Did you buy yours or make yours? I'm trying to figure out what to do for a clasp.

I think your style is fine... but you're right, it's not very polarizing. You could wear that sort of thing to a symphony concert, and nobody would bat an eye. Also, there's not a hell of a lot that people would open conversation with you on, especially with the white tiger shirt. The studded belt sounds like a great idea to me, and I agree with Monteray that the shoes are a weak point in your presentation.

I feel like a hypocrite saying half this stuff, though. I've gotta work on my own fashion... and my shoes are well overdue for a change.

Thanks for the tips guys! I've just bought some black derby shoes (dress looking shoes and I still have my tan colored high top converses for shoes).

@Syrrah, I bought the bike chain necklace on Amazon. Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F4B ... UTF8&psc=1

@Monteray, I have a gray blazer, thick brown blazer that makes me look like sherlock holmes, white slim fitted button up, dark blue slim fitted button up, and a dark blue cardigan (It's all too warm to be wearing these besides the blazer since it's really hot in my area; 80 degrees and up). I have the basic colored shirts without any graphics like burgundy, black, white, grey, and also a grey henley. I have black socks, red socks with a native Indian design and black/grey socks the same. I have a grey scarf for the winter time, a big black military coat (looks pretty big on me, I'll post a pic later, a denim like jacket that fits.

These will be my next purchases in the fashion category:
Studded Belt: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004JY ... VXYO5OOQG9

White band watch: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0055O ... PDKIKX0DER

Para-cord necklace with bullet: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KMC ... E71JSJBU8E

I believe gaining muscle mass will be a huge factor after I get all these in becoming polarizing.

I also have a denim short sleeved button up to the mix+black shirt+bike chain necklace.

I even went to a hair stylist today with my hair down and asked her for her opinion on the best hair for my facial features and body. She says it's a faux hawk with possible coloring, although she says another women has a better idea if I come back. The place is called "Four Seasons" and is in the mall.

*Any other recommendations will be useful, thank you
I will be posting an update when I have the additional things in my wardrobe.

Also, below is a picture of the little facial hair I have and am trying to grow :)

@Ice, I'l clean it up a bit every once in awhile and test it. I've gotten a positive comment off a girl I was laying before.

To add to the accessories of listed above, I have a grey beanie that I mainly wear with everything in the winter. I have different colored ones too.

I try not to wear hats all the time since styled hair seems better.
