Fight workout

I'm making this thread to post MMA/BJJ/Wrestling/other combat sport workouts as I come across them, for now many will be wrestling because that is the season I am in.

Because of the nature of these workouts many will need a partner.

Stair workout:

This is a wrestling workout that needs a partner around your weight. You do the workout up the steps, then you run down them and repeat, that's one rep.

1. Find a set of stairs, I usually go on 4 flights of like 5.

2.Sprint up the steps twice touching every step with a foot.

3. Propel yourself up as many steps as you can by jumping off of one leg. Do this 2 times I can do a whole flight ;)

4. Jump up as many steps as you can with both feet and land with both feet. Do this twice.

5. Give your partner a piggy back ride up all the steps. Do this twice but alternate, when you are being carried that is your rest. Riders make sure you have a firm grip but you are not choking the guy.

6. Fireman's carry partner up twice alternating so you work your arms and your legs. The carry is not really a fireman's carry, it's more like this http://www.medtrng.com/cls/Image184.gif, but the person is also reaching his arm around your neck to hold on! Again, make sure your grip is tight but not too tight.

7. Wheelbarrows up steps alternating, kinda like this, but make sure the graber is circling the other guy's legs by the waist to get a better workout, not the ankles http://wellingtoncycleways.files.wordpr ... -wheel.jpg

Alternate between walking up steps with your hands and carrying, again 2 reps each position. Go up the steps as fast as possible!

If you feel that this is getting easy, turn the two reps of each into four :)
