Hit up Nordstrom Rack. They have great deals on 7's, True Religions, and Lucky's. I prefer Lucky's, bought 2 pairs for about $80 as opposed to 95-120 for one pair. Then have them tailored, less than $20 to make both pairs be the perfect length. Huge difference.

Sport jacket sleeves are too long like Ice mentioned, most of shirts look good depending on where you are going, other than the flannel shirt. Not a fan of flannel looking shirts, you look like a logger.

Not a huge fan of the jacket in the 2nd pic, but I think its more because its too similar in color to the jeans. Try dark blue.

Try growing your hair out brotha.

I used to have REALLY short hair like yours and finally decided to change my appearance and grew that shit out.

Hands down the BEST image improvement I've made thus far.

What I did is grow it out and asked my hair stylist to do whatever the hell she wants.
Just make me look cool.

I added color and all kinds of different hairstyles. I was getting compliments on a daily.

So, within the past year I decided to change my hair style again (I had a fauxhawk with a red streak in the middle) and decided to do something more mature and "in."

I did a pompadour, but, couldn't style it right everytime. Now, I have it combed over to side with a little color added to it. Much more classy. Getting compliments again.

I suggest the classy combed look. You may look goofy for a month or two or three growing it out... But it's worth it.

Everybody that knows me will tell you that I LOVE Guess! clothing. They have great pants and pretty cool shirts and shit. Also, you can't go wrong with diesel clothing. They actually change their fashion and improve it every season or something like that.

Finally, get some dress boots. I thought boots for men were GAY.
Then, Bay and I went pimping hoes (actually he did all the pimping... I just tagged along lol) in Vegas and he suggested I buy these boots. I finally found something that looks good with my attire.

Do work!!!

Hope my advice helps brother.

The only thing that stood out for me is in your blazer pic, the arms of the jacket look a little long, and it could be fitted more. A tailor could do this for you. If you can get a collared shirt that pops up more, it will level up the look.

Also if I'm being picky - the light coloured jacket where you're wearing the green shirt looks like it's made from a plastic material - could seem like a cheaper material. But I wouldn't even have mentioned it if you hadn't asked.
I agree with brother ICE. But if you must buy off the rack, pick up a size jacket that is too small and go up one size.

First off: I used to work as a stylist & visuals designer for Saks Fifth Avenue, GAP/Banana Republic, Nordstrom, & Ralph Lauren. I keep up with current fashion trends and attend fashion trade shows since one of my businesses is in Trade Show Displays.

Your Last 2 pics looks like an improvement over the ones before.

T-Shirts & Tops: A|X Armani Exchange, Hugo Boss, Diesel, Robert Graham, English Laundry type shirts. Add some color and variety to your gear.

Accessories: Affordable: A|X Armani Exchange has some cool chains, and bracelets. High End: Check David Yurman.

Jeans:
Suggestion: Look for modern fit jeans that don't look too baggy. Baggy jeans means you are trapped in the mid to late '90's. 8's,9's & 10's will pick up on that. Try to stay with Straight Leg. Boot Cut is ok depending on the look and fit of the jeans. STAY AWAY from Baggy, Ultra Skinny Slim fits (that outline your cock, we are not gay here..at least not me lol :D ) and Slouchy fits.
Designer Jeans: 7ForAllManKind, True Religion, Armani Exchange, Diesel, G Star, Antony Morato, Hugo Boss.

Socks: Hugo Boss, Silly Striped colored ones are cool. See Nordstrom or Bloomingdales online.

Shoes:
Try not use any shoes that look like you can use them for blue color work. No steel toe shoes (Workman V) etc. Get some modern looking shoes.
Check out Mark Nason: http://www.marknason.com/

Let me know if this works! Good Luck!

I think you are on the right track with fashion. You have the rocker look going for you.

A few things I think can be improved are:

1) Rocker shoes. The blocky shoes do not look as appealing as pointy shoes. Madmax recommended Mark nason. They are very nice, I have a pair. You can find those and other awesome high end shoes/boots at 6pm.com and zappos for much cheaper than you would in stores.

2) With jeans, shop around. By that I mean go to some upscale stores like Norstrom, try on designer jeans. You are looking for fit. Which brand fits you best. You are not looking for which looks the best. Once you know what fits you best, then you can start looking for different styles with that designer. Usually you can narrow it to 2-3 designer jeans you like that fit great.

3) I personally hate affliction and other type shirts like that in the club. Same with fitted black shirts, every other guy in the clubs are wearing that. Especially in Columbus Ga where I am. Ft Benning is right here, and it seems every army guy here is wearing black fitted, or affliction type shirts.

4) Bright socks can provide a subtle pop to an outfit. Something you can experiment with.

Good luck.

Wow guys I am off for awhile and come back to an old thread with some badass advice. Thank you very much.

I haven't done much in the way of clothing except pick up a few v necks and a pair of leather docs...but my ex literally stole them lol. I was speechless when I noticed they were nowhere to be found.

Also I have grown a slight beard and grown my hair out doing a comb over type thing but going to geta trim and may change that. I keep the beard really really short and shave my neck etc... Notice I'm getting alot of looks.

Affliction had gone the way with Ed Hardy type of stuff about 3-4 years ago. I wouldn't wear that stuff now for sure. The whole skeleton/tribal/MMA thing is out.
