I agree with Tech's dad as well. There is no such thing as a fair fight. Do what you have to do as quickly as you can and get out. Deescalation is always the first step, but if not possible, striking is much safer than grappling in a multiple opponent situation and in a situation where weapons may be involved. That's the main reason I view grappling as secondary to striking, although its absolutely a needed skill.

Only thing I disagree with Tech about is kicking them in the nuts. Men are naturally prone to protecting this area and instinctively react. There is also a delay of pain anywhere from a few seconds to a minute and if there is an adrenaline rush, the opponent can push through the pain. If you've been in a fight, you've probably experienced this. You don't feel much, but later, feel it a lot. A lot of guys can be knocked out from a punch. Remember, a punch with no gloves on is very different than a punch with gloves.

Stealth, my personal opinion is that with no weapons striking is best. Strikes that can do as much damage as possible-bunches, elbows, etc. If you are good at kicking, keep the kicks low so you doin't fall. I got punched in the face one night and when I hit back, he doubled over. I kicked his ribs and I found out later I had broke them.

Obviously spacial awareness, looking for an out, being aware of possible threats, etc., are also key. But just get the fuck out is even better.

Here's what happened the last time the A-team got into a fight in a bar. Stealth was dancing with this girl. Probably why he started this thread. I was on the phone.

Mack was there too (he's the Asian guy)

Hahahaha.

So are you the old guy in the MJ jacket KoA or the player cheating on his fiance? Or both? The plot thickens.
