i think that's fine, just depends on what is expected and where you're going. i live on the beach, and it gets very hot in summers 100+. if i'm going to a nice place or a club, i'll wear jeans, t shirt and sneakers. if i'm going to a local bar, i'll wear shorts, t shirt and sneakers. beach bar = shorts, t shirt and flip flops. so all depends on what the normal standard of dress is where you're going.

From your thread title I thought you were asking for a casual dress to wear for a D2

I agree with Stealth... I was like, wait, is he going to be wearing a dress? Or talking about the dress the girl was wearing? Umm... Yeah...
In any case, always dress appropriate for the event/setting. When in doubt, try to just be one step up from everyone else in the room. Notes I said one step, not like 20. So if everyone else is wearing shorts, flip flops, and tee shirts, maybe you wear the same things, only yours fit you and are stylish. Or maybe you wear shirts, boat shoes, and a polo. But, always remember to be congruent with who you are and wear things that convey your personality and DHV you.

Lol...well I could wear a dress as a peacocking measure but I'll pass
Ya...to be honest, I think I remember reading somewhere that shorts/flip flops were a huge no no when it came to this thing of ours. But hell...I pretty much wear them every day in the summer when it's nice out. It won't put me out of place and I will throw on a collared button down to raise it that one step up instead of a plain ol' t-shirt. So...I was thinking the same as you guys in essence. I never dress slobbish.

it all depends on your environment. it's gonna be 100 degrees out today and i'm going to an 8 hour long bar crawl directly on the beach. you can bet your ass i'm wearing shorts, flip flops and t shirt...Virgil Flowers wrote:Lol...well I could wear a dress as a peacocking measure but I'll pass![]()
