and guys...i never said leather jackets cannot be cool. i said it has to be congruent with the rest of your look and personality and that SOME guys that don't know how to dress think that throwing a leather jacket on will immediately turn them into maverick from top gun. but it doesn't...

"Your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habbits, your habbits become your character, your character becomes your destiny." From the book Get Selected
You need to ditch the glasses man, grab contacts and roll with them it will help your look alot.
The major flaw with your look that i can see is your hair, Greasy as fuck, not styled in any way, looks like you have a parrot sitting on top of your head.
Go to a hairdresser find the hottest chick there and ask her to do what she wants with it to make you look good! I do it all the time and it works!
Grow some facial hair man! Your dress shirts are way to big, smaller size will help show of your body shape. Try some different colours too, I roll with purples , different shades of blue etc, I allways get complements on my shirts if the colour stands out!
Ok, first response on this forum so my credibility may be a tad low, but trust.. I know fashion.
Haven't all the responses from the lads, so I may be repeating a few things, but take what you can from it all the same.
1) Fit. From what I can see from the photos, a lot of the clothes aren't fitting properly. In one of the shirt photos, it seems as if the shirt is hanging off your shoulders and down by your waist is a huge amount of material flapping around. A shirt should be snug all over, on the chest and down by the waist. If you it is hanging loose down the sides, drop a size. But don't go so small that the buttons are pulling at yoru chest.
2) Don't always go into a store and ask for help, you should know what style you are after. Girls are in there and hired because the company knows guys are suckers if a hot girl tells them they look good in something, and will do it really no matter what. I know, worked in retail for a while. Pick your own outfits, and when you ask for her thoughts, restrict it to ; How does this fit? Do the colours work? Any accesories that would take this look to the next level? If you let her take charge, or ask "Does this look good?" You will get the same response she gives every guy, which is often just to get you to buy as much as possible.
3) Your glasses. Glasses can be an awesome accesory, but at the moment, they won't be helping your game at all. Unless you want the super nerd look?? Either get yourself some contacts, or have a look at what is the new look for a lad needing glasses is. With the right set, it can your look to whole new place.
4) Your hair. Go to a top end salon, and get their advice. They love this. Don't put down any reservations, hair grows back fast. If you come out not loving it, it will be gone in less than a month. Also, as far as hair product goes, look for matte as opposed to gel, gives a more natural look and stays away from the wet, hard, shiney look that you kind of have going at the moment. Oh, and also you could look into straightening your hair, unless you are loving your curls.
5) Colour. Don't be afraid of it, the all black look can look smart, but has to be in that profile, a smart look. Jeans, a jacket and black shirt. Like me, you have black hair. If you rock all black, it pulls down your aura to something more negative, unless like I said above you are going for the all black smart look. I am always rocking all sorts of colours, from my shoes, to jeans/chinos, my shirts or t shirts etc.
6) Jeans, same as with your shirt. Make them fit! I don't know how tall you are, but you seem skinny? Go for a slim fit or skinny jean. Stay away from the straight or boot cut. Not a flattering look for you, as it will be apparent it doesnt fit right, and make you seem bottom half heavy because you don't have a stocky or built upper body.
7) Accesories. Doing alright, but is that a sweat band you have on in one of your photos? Not good bro, opt for a leather cuff, and rock them on both hands. For me, I've got a leather band watch and then a leather cuff for my other wrist. Also, rings. Don't need many, but again just makes your look that much more interesting.
That's all I can really think of now, may make a post outlining some of this stuff and throw up some photos of my own style. Though I am 20, most of the looks will work universally up to mid or late 20's. Im in Christchurch, New Zealand and can still make fresh, up to date looks. You guys in the US have a bounty of options in regards to fashion! Take advantage and explore.
