Question about SLA.
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and was wondering is signing up for the Elite forum worth the price? I definitely intend on coming here for advice on PU but I came across SLA first. Reason I ask is cause I've looked on the forum and gotten some mixed reviews on them. Mainly on the feedback from coaches was lacking as of late. Just wondering what most of you have to say from experience. Appreciate any input you guys got. Later.

Re: Question about SLA.
I can only speak for myself personally as a former student and honestly as a friend of people who work for a number of different companies.
As a student I got almost all of my value from Flashchats with Bravo and The Sneak, and their input on my threads on the forum. They are no longer there.
I still help out with flashchats if one of the SLA coaches calls me to ask if i can cover for him, or if I just see a guy in there alone and a coach has forgotten its his flashchat time.
And I still try to post on threads when I find spare time to be helpful to the students paying there. But most of my time is spent on here, I actually submit my own questions to Bravo's Ask the Alpha Male videos each week, and learn so much every phone call we have.
SLA will always be near and dear to my heart. Im just saying where I got all of my value from.

Re: Question about SLA.
When the original coaches were still part of the SLA I'd call the price cheap. I always got quick responses back, replies on my posts, and the flash chats were worth their weight in gold.
Actually, I attended a lot of the FC's without a question and almost always learned something by the end of the hour.
The teleseminars were decent IMO, epic advice was always given but there was always a squeaky wheel that tended to suck up most of the time (but the teleseminars almost always went into overtime so it kinda balanced out). Didn't really mind this for the FC's as I would just PM the coach afterwards.
The other great thing was all of the coaches knew how to teach VERY well. I got called out when needed and they told me what I needed to hear, not what I wanted to hear (Bravo is awesome for that, a lot of growth happened when he called me out just once or twice, well worth it).
The missions are awesome (and those are still there), the past posts on the forum are great to sift through. However, with most of the original coaches gone, receiving reprinted Weekend Wingmans in the mail (started getting duplicates of old issues at about March), and the overall forum activity down it didn't really do it for me. Personally, at this time, I would sign up but only to bust through the missions. A few of the sticking points do require a coaches advice, I found I got a lot of small questions that would trickle in constantly.
However, I do not know what state the company is currently in (nor does it look like it's Style's top priority). I can't say that I really appreciated a surprise purge of the staff with no explanation. I'm paying good money for the SLA, it's proper to inform your clients if the services they pay for are changing. The coaches made the forums, right now I'd pay about 20-30 bucks a month for the SLA (and scrap the monthly DVD and Weekend Wingman, though useful, they're just repeats right now anyways). The missions and coaching advice are worth their weight in gold, the SLA is definitely the way to go if you are just starting out with PU and have zero experience with women (as in wbAFC, bAFC, AFC, etc.). It definitely helped me get started and get out of the house.
I also found a lot of good life coaching at the SLA as well, plus having the forums completely private (which you had to pay to enter) was a bit of a relief when I was first starting out. Now I don't mind if it's public.
Overall I'd wait for a deal to swing by, the material on that site is top notch. It definitely started a new chapter of my life.

Honestly, I have never tried the pay-forums, so my opinion holds the least weight in this discussion, but I was on the free side for a few years. I looked at a few forums before choosing stylelife, and now I am here, and when college slows down I'll be posting mostly here.
This forum seems to be the most helpful I have been on so far, the "experienced guy" to the "newer guy" ratio is awesome, and everyone is willing to help. If for some reason you end up deciding not to join the elite side, this place shows a lot of potential. From what everyone said, the golden part of the pay forums were coaches feedback and such, and on here we have a lot of high quality guys that were on that forum, giving feedback here.
Anyways, welcome aboard!

Re: Question about SLA.
I suggest not joining the SLA. I was in it for a year (2 yrs ago) and the best part was the coaches. I'm almost certain they are not there anymore. Bravo was the best coach at the SLA and he is here.
The biggest reason I unsubscribed to SLA was that all the more advanced guys had quit, so I found myself not being able to learn from others better than me. Many of the more advanced guys are in this forum, so you should be able to experience that if you actively participate here.
Save your money for a bootcamp or coaching.

Re: Question about SLA.
thank you for the kind words guys!
basically all the stuff that I WOULD have recommended isn't there anymore
The missions I was really proud of, the ones I wrote, it would take you MONTHS to get to them.
I honestly would never do or recommend many of the missions, especially the ones at the start.
80 page e-books are Bravo kryptonite!
it really sucks, I spent 3 years building it up, moved away from Az, my family, my friends, my hot 19 yr old GF, to move out here to work
I am glad I did, but not glad that the golden age of SLA is over.
But if it wasn't I wouldnt be here now with all of you, working on new stuff.

Re: Question about SLA.
so are you like breaking away from SL? And does that mean the SL is dying out?
i kind of have the feeling though this is going to turn out to be like Mystery's lounge. Seems to be a tight group of people here. I get a good vibe.

Re: Question about SLA.
don't want to get too much into it on a forum
but
was just talking to Neil last week about me still running bootcamps thru Stylelife (which a few guys here went thru my bootcamps and will vouch they blow away anything else) and speaking at events still
but the normal day to day coaching and managing other coaching staff + Elite forum, I am no longer doing
